the pool on batt is set to 25000 so thats high enough... or at least should be.
personally i flashed the new 21892 sys with 2012 but after a day went back to my 21891 with 1921 cuz i like that manila better and was too busy to cook another rom with 28192 and manila 1921.
anyways.. u saying that batt life is bad... but for me it seems ok...
maybe u talk a lot on it or a lot of texts... but if u want u can try the new rom with 2012 manila and sys 21892...
it should be better since the new manila requires less ram... although i will only get a chance to really test it the best i can starting tomorrow night after my midterms.
personally i don't use active sync... i set emails to every 4 hours, update weather every 3, don't use the internet too much.. maybe 10-20 texts a day and another probably 1 hour of talking on the phone a day(more or less, depends), but i know a lot of my batt goes cuz my classes are sometimes in places with no reception... so that kills the batt also.
i know that 23534 sys and 21892 right now might need some "touch-ups", but they work fine as they are and there is nothing on them that can't be fixed just by using a cab or a regedit.

There were tons of "battery tweaks" in the early days of the Diamond that eventually every chef started using. I don't remember all of them but there were definitely at least a handful of them. I'll try and find them if i can.

As for my usage - I'm using my phone in the same location and about the same amount on average that I have for the last year or so. But with identical usage, the phone lasts about 50% as long as it used to on my old ROM ie, the battery is getting used up almost twice as quickly. BUT - my old ROM was 6.1 and used TouchFLO3D instead of Sense so that could very well have something to do with it.

I'll try one of the newer ones though, thanks again and keep up the good work!

Unfortunately (for you anyway, lol), 23534 is 6.5.3. I don't have a lot of experience with 6.5 SYS, because I've pretty much used 6.5.3 exclusively since it came out. To be fair, I got the worst battery life with 28014 and the best with 23534, so those are the extremes.

I'm using the newest release of build 21892 and am getting an error when trying to open the camera. "The file 'Camera' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found." Is there a .cab I can use to fix this? Thanks in advance.

Are you sure it's the newest release? Amikam released ROMs that were supposed to fix this problem, and in his 23534 it was fixed. I believe he kept the same file name, so you might want to try to download again and reflash.

Amikam. I understand you fixed the above problem in your latest rom. I am getting the same error on my custom rom, built in OMJ's kitchen using 21877. What was the problem? How did you fix. Thanks in advance.

Re: [2/27/2010] MikROM [Sense 2.5 | WM6.5 / WM6.5.x | SYS 21893 / 28014 / 23541]

ok guys.. i don;t know if it was posted or not... but it seems that cookiemonster mod works on vga manila 2012.
it really doesn't take up much room and works fast without any noticeable lost of speed.
give it a shot... definitely worth it!!!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=625483
and this is where u would get the tool to change all the settings to what ever u like and also u need it for changing the res to vga: (can be installed to internal storage)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633590

i might cook it in in upcoming version... so far there is no reason to update besides this mod and maybe sys 23542.
so and update will probably only comeup in a week or two.

also... all u guys having issues with google maps... check out this post:
