omg!!! i got my TP today!!!! its currently installing sprint features .. but man oh man ... this thing is VERY VERY VERY nice!!! ...
everyone dont give up on getting a TP .. i kept trying and trying until i got it .. explain ur issue very well ... i didnt even qualify for a upgrade until august .. so every .. just keep calm on the phone and tell them in the past you have gotten refurb phone and really dont want that because you will be sending it back ... thats what i told her .. and she gave me a TP instead!!!

Would a mogul with a circular white spot in the lower left quadrant (portrait) be sufficient enough reason for an advanced exchange?
And which option for 'Main Issue With Phone' would one select for advanced exchange? ['LCD / Screen Not Working' with a note in 'Additional Issues' about the white spot?] Would I be able to see if they will send a mogul or a Touch Pro (and then possibly cancel the advanced exchange) before I accept an advanced exchange through the ‘Self-Services’ website? The Mogul is generally unresponsive; I've missed some calls from it not waking up in time, and I have double pressed buttons because it won't respond immediately. The unresponsiveness is pretty annoying when you are in the decision tree for voice mail and can't go back to the last option. Also, when I try to close a program with the X-button in the upper right corner on the Today screen, it takes a second or two to generate the list of running-programs - not good if you need to put away your phone quickly and don't want the battery to run down because of running programs. Every so often it will freeze and need a reboot. I'd hate to get stuck with a worse mogul. I got the mogul about a month before the Touch Pro was released. Well, my phone's charging little black piece broke out about 12pm last Friday. i was already checking into getting a replacement phone b/c of it turning off randomly and dropping calls. Everybody I talked with Friday said i'd get a referbished mogul. I gave it to my husband to take to sprint b/c I had to have a phone right away and they gave him a referbished mogul. arg! he asked if we could get a touch pro and they said NO WAY and if something happens to this phone or if it 'get's lost' to not even bother coming in and just file a claim. They were kind of rude about it. my 2 yr contract is up in Sept so i don't have too long to wait to get a touch pro!
Just now for fun I went onto the sprint site to see what kind of phone i could get to replace this one on the advanced replacement site and it won't let me do it b/c i haven't had this phone for more than 30 days but it did talk about a 30 guarantee and a new replacment but i have to go back to where i got it at. My only complaint about this phone is that it has the white spots on the screen, not sure that's a reason enough to get a new phone. What is the deal with the white spots anyways? So i'm going to be using it a lot these 30 days to see if a defect comes up, hoping it does. thanks Kim |

Yea, looks like the self replacement thing is finished. Have to put in a zip now. They changed it over at midnight last night. Damn i sure wish I had seen this thread sooner.
