Re: Sprint 5GB internet cap

This may be off topic, but this could be why when i called them about paying for tethering they told me it was not available for the simply everything plan as of yet. it will be ready on june 16th with a $15 charge instead of $40

Re: Sprint 5GB internet cap

Wow, guess im the exeption to you guys.

according to my usage, im at 40.2 GB for the cycle, with well over a week left.

I typically get ~210 KB/s sustained dl speeds, that means I can max out the monthly cap in just 7 hours.

i must be one of those abusive users sprint's targetting...

time for a big change, heh.

210KBytes a second? that's over 2mbit down. I don't think EVDO Rev A can do that on a mogul.

Let's say it can for kicks. So, there are 1024 MB in each GB, and 1024 KB in each MB, or 1,048,576 KB in a GB. So Buring 210KB a second you use 12,600 KB/min and 756,000 KB an hour, or about 6.9 hours total to burn 5GB - or looking at it the other way, you're allowed about 14 minutes a day "full out" data usage at that speed to stay under the cap.

Send him your touch

I'm lucky to get 60-100KB/sec on my mogul with Rev A, so I could go at least 2-3 times as long. If it was plugged in, and sitting on top of a block of dry ice to keep it from melting...

It can. You don't see it often, but some lucky people are in areas with plenty of bandwidth and not too many users. The best I've gotten was about 2.4mbps. Too bad I can't get that all over

210 KB/s is only 1.68 mbit. Ive seen over 250 KB/s. I belive RevA is theoretically capable of 3-4mbit?
