Sprint 5GB internet cap
Sprint Reigns In Data Usage
Today, 4:24 PM by Eric M. Zeman Sprint is updating its Terms Of Service starting in mid-July and will be capping mobile broadband data usage at 5GB. Previously, Sprint offered truly unlimited mobile broadband. Once the new Terms Of Service go into effect, users who go over the 5GB cap, or a 300MB roaming cap, will be charged extra fees. AT&T Mobility and Verizon Wireless currently cap their data usage at 5GB, also. Posted on phone scoop today. |

Re: Sprint 5GB internet cap
what kind of hot garbage is that? my question is are they starting that for the people who sign up from that point on? or is that going to be affective for EVERYONE period? because i think that changes up the contract technically for those who already have an unlimited data plan..

Re: Sprint 5GB internet cap
this should effectively allow anyone on an existing "unlimited data plan" to jump ship without an etf.

Re: Sprint 5GB internet cap
That is gonna cut my web-browsing by a hell of a lot. I take it that for people who use their phone as a modem it's gonna be life-changing.

Re: Sprint 5GB internet cap
If they modify the contract (which capping "unlimited" would do) then they have to waive the etf, but... since everyone caps, where would you leave to? Pay VZW or ATT more for the same cap? Or leave and sign up for Sero, if you haven't already. But, since Sprint knows that we'll experience the same cap wherever we go, they have no incentive to not cap us.
