Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [9/26] WORKING HW3D!

Btw, I tried both the reference and blazn. and why in the world does the blazn version had the wifi tethering omitted? The reference has it and works good. I can connect my Epic and surf. The blazn version only gives you usb tethering. anyone know why they omitted it? oh, All my 34 games run exactly the same as before the so called 3d fix. anyone notice that too?

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [9/26] WORKING HW3D!

I saw install instructions that said to reformat the sd card first.

Does that mean it's not recommended to put android on your main storage card?

I want to take full advantage my dual boot program and I perfer not to have to switch cards all the time.

Thanks!

Just means a freshly formatted card will run smoother, it doesn't mean you cant re-add other items to your SD card after the format.

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [9/26] WORKING HW3D!

In the Kernel just before this new 26/9 release, Wifi was working except for WEP. Does the new kernel have working WEP WIFI?

FAQ says it also:

It seems users that are running WEP encryption are having issues. This is a known issue and hopefully will be addressed in time

Please let me know if it works with this Kernel.

Even if it does work, you shouldn't use WEP. I'm sure people are tired of me saying it, but it's an awful protocol that any 13-year-old can hack in under 2 minutes.

I don't know anything about the router you're using, but usually, even if you're forced to use a particular router, you can at least change the wireless encryption used. I think most default to WEP as it's the most widely accepted encryption, and something is better than nothing. However, WPA and WPA2 have been out long enough now that anything made within the past 3-4 years should support it.
