Well it will work for me, since my device has full keyboard / no T9. But I'm a cooking n00b so can somebody tell me where to make the reg edit?

That's not the issue I'm having actually, because I just checked the REG and it already uses compime not t9.

Try this:

Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\e0010409]
"Layout Text"="COMP IME"
"Ime File"="\\windows\\compime.dll"

Yeah that's what is already in the registry. Messaging app still won't compose new SMS. And I was wrong before - it won't even let me convert a draft MMS to an SMS. The Messaging app just does nothing.

Major problem eh?
I think, you are face same problem which I was facing fews days back and already fixed it. The problem is due to using old version IE. No problem, just replace the webview.dll ( SYS\BROWSING ) taken from the new IE.

Hope this helps you.

Thanks and regards

Thanks for the tip. Grabbing the webview.dll from 21198 and flashing with that to test.

SORRY for the confusion. I mean; If any cooker removed the new version IE and used old version IE in the sys, then thay should use webview.dll from the new version IE. Because the SMS messanging is linked to webview.dll and the old webview.dll from old version IE won't work so we need to replace to new one.

Yeah so this would be the problem in the 21202 SYS posted somewhere back there between pages 207 and 209 of this thread. Works fine with the webview.dll from 21198
