That's odd, Shell worked without a hitch on my Sprint 700wx.

I had the same problems (http://www.ppcgeeks.com/spb-mobile-s...,90.html#53732). After installing Mobile Shell on my 700wx I was able to make it to my today screen before it froze.

I'm running a number of the same programs that you are. I removed Treo Alerts and it still froze. I'm currently thinking that it might be ActiveSync as it always starts on my phone after a soft reset.

Lately I've had far less issues...but I'm not sure what I changed. I did uninstall of number of programs/apps that I just wasn't really using any more.

Let me know how things go with your phone.

I just installed it now. No more freezing problems. I might try it when they come out with another version though.

I just downloaded this yesterday and love it!!! Only two things (so far) keep it from being 'THE' app for me....one thing is on the autodial tab...can you create more than 5 settings? I use more than that reguarly, and would love to enable more.

The second I posted on another forum, but I thought I would throw it out here as well.....is there any way to enable weatherpanel to update automatically as a tab in mobile shell?

Why not use the Treo speeddial plugin. It is selectable in Mobile Shell tab menu.

I have SPB Mobile Shell running perfectly along with WP and storyr Son-of-Commuter theme (the actual reason why I went with Mobile Shell) but I have a question. On the NOW screen, the weather shows as high/low on the top left corner. Is there ANY way I can have the actual temp show instead of the high/low (which is incorrect anyway). That would make this soooo killer.

Hope someone can figure it out. Thanks!

Even though the data will be coming from Spb Weather, it will display. Keep in mind you will have 2 applications downloading weather data though, so it may have an impact on your battery.

I must be misunderstanding syrguy1969'a question (and Pibe38's answer in the other thread). If I place WeatherPanel in a Mobile Shell tab, it updates automatically every 30 minutes - just as I have it configured. There's no issue there as far as I can see.

Pibe38: It sounds like your talking about getting the Now screen icon to udpate, in addition to WeatherPanel. I was thinking the same thing, but hadn't tried it yet.

So, syrguy1969, as far as I know, there are no issues with WeatherPanel updating in a tab, or getting the Now screen weather icon to update either.

As far as the speed dial limit of 5, I'm running the speed dial in two tabs - getting 10 slots...

I wound up putting the Treo's speed dial in a tab (it did not work the first time, froze the phone).

As far as the WP updating, I am in a bad situation for telling if it will update or not (the whole WX data connection issue). I will stuck with it, and see how it goes....thanks guys.
