Outstanding. If you need someone to test it, let me know. I haven't flashed in a few days and am itching to flash...

A few days? I'm doing well if I only flash my ROM once a day... Zeroing in on that "perfect build" tho...

Really.

It's not a sickness.

Stop staring at me like that.

I swear I'm not staring, that's just the look on my face.

And alas, every once and a while I must actually work at work. Tis never fun, but it must be done.

The question will be whether or not Mobile Shell tries to reset the registry if I need to change any settings, which would cause it to revert back to the original behavior after a reset. Thanks for your help anyway!
Mind sharing these registry options? I have discovered that I cannot move the Spb Mobile Shell plugin from its position on the WM6 Mogul.

EDIT: Marty from PDAPhoneHome provided me with this and it worked!!!

HKLM\SOFTWARES\MICROSOFT\TODAY\ITEMS\SPB MOBILE SHELL
change TYPE from 5 to 4

Hmm... on my 8525 I couldn't find the "SPB MOBILE SHELL" folder.

Dumb question on my part, but are you looking in the registry?

Yep, that's what worked for me. Had to do some trial and error with a few other items, but did end up pinpointing that key. Good to know it works with the 6800, in case I get one.

Well I have found another issue with Shell and the Mogul/WM6...

Sometimes when I wake the device up, I get kicked to the Today screen instead of the Now screen. It kind of defies the purpose of one of the big features of Shell.

It almost feels as if the Mogul or WM6 runs an app or something when awakened and this makes it bypass the Now screen.

Anyone experience this?

Not a dumb question, since I do some dumb things. However, I was looking in the registry. I poked around a bit and did find it, and changing the type to 4 did work for me as well. Thanks.

I used to have that problem with Shell 1.0 (on WM5), but haven't had it since I upgraded to 1.5.
