Vista's User Account Control or something like that. It is the thing that makes you hit "allow" or "cancel" when performing certain functions like registry edits and running certain programs.
Just right click the "buildos" icon and select "Run as administrator"...that should fix all your problems... I would not recommend disabling UAC for the average user. I have UAC enabled and on two occasions I have had virus/spyware try to take over my computer. By hitting "cancel" the program will not run. BTW, I dont consider myself an average user, but I still like UAC... |

C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\hIq Inc\PPC-BuildOS\9.05.2.6Temp This is then copied from this "temp" location to C:\BuildOS\Upgrade\Titan_RUU This is where Vista usually "break" due to UAC and you hafta manually locate it Not sure what's up w/ your messaging, did you install the "fix count" ? also you did pull the battery and hard reset AFTER you completed your flash, right? And w/ NueLED i have disabled most of my lights, the changes dont take effect though, at least for me, until i perform a soft reset. usually wait a few minutes to make sure my changes save though...

Re: Titan Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19199 (Build 19199.1.0.0)
I have a question about this kitchen. It downloaded and installed fine. I ran the updater and then I went through the list picking the programs that I wanted in the rom. Once I was done choosing the items, I selected sprint for my carrier and built the rom. After it was done,I moved the RUU_signed.nbh file to my laptop (it has XP) that I use to flash my Moguls. I have two phones to flash. I chose my wifes since she was nagging me about wanting the programs I had on mine. Everything installed fine, except I picked to much stuff and her battery life started suffering. I went back to the kitchen and slimmed things down.
The problem is that every rom I build from this kitchen now has problems with programs like schapps advanced config, Wififofum, live search, and a few others. The error is on the device stating either the certificate is invalid or it cannot find the location. Even if I don't build with them and manually install from cabs. I updated her phone to the stock rom 3.35 and installed olipro 2.40 before I did the first cooked rom. I have tried the roms on my phone also and I have the same problem now but only with these roms. If I go back to the stock everything works. I have done the hard resets. I have tried both WM6 rom build and WM6.1 build. I have completely removed the kitchen and reinstalled and still have the same issue. If anyone can give me an idea as to why this is happening, I would greatly appreciate it. P.S. If no one has a solution to this issue, could someone tell me how to get Microsoft Voice Command 1.6 working on the stock rom. One of the reasons I am trying to cook this is to get that program. I have the program as a cab. It installs ok with no errors but it doesn't work right. I press the voice button and the mic icon shows but no response to my commands with or without bluetooth (I have the bluetooth fix cab also but doesn't help). I could manually install the other programs if I could get MS VC 1.6 working. Thank you for any help on the main issue or the sub-issue. |

@ RobDFW and toolow2:
are you both adding the .NET to your builds? lots of programs now require that to run and will give that type of error when its not there. also, it could be a security issue not allowing them to install- you could try the Unlock Phone security hacks in this thread here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=5108 its the very first one listed in first post.

I think it would save a lot of questions if the kitchen chefs were to add .NET as a requirement to the option.xml files of the OEM packages that need it.
