All I have to say is F*** sprint.

They can't release anything worth while and they treat people like a commodity. I check the www.america.htc.com regularly for the update just to be disapointed. Yes I have a mogul. Ehh I am happy with it now that gps works. But as far as reliability, Sprint can't get it right. At least telus released there version in April. APRIL people. sprint didn't even try till late summer. I had to goto canada just to play with one.

All I have to say about the release of the new rom is give up. The moment you do that, They will release it. I guess they do this to make sure that it is well out of date to keep us buying newer hardware.

Anyway the reason for the holdup is that they need it to run stable. Obvioudly it will run the new apps fine, but then the speaker might not work etc...
the official rom will obviously have:
GPS
Sprint TV
6.1
and supposedly a better task manager. Also help out the memory leak problem.

The sprint touch may get the GPS and REV A update first

The only reason I dont believe this is Engineers no matter who they work for all have to get a Degree somewhere... AS part of Any Engineering degree you must take Advanced Technical writting. Believe me... I am going thur my EE degree right now and trying to avoid the writting part but cant.

The above looks like it was posted by a high school kid or someone who sure as heck doesnt have a degree let alone an Engineering degree.

Geeeez! I'm glad I'm not the only one. I don't get how gullible people are these days. I guess theres nothing better than stirring a rumor and watching it boil with glee.

Before you criticize others for their writing you should work on your own, and spelling would be a good place to start, followed by correct sentence structure.

There is a big difference here.. I am not claiming to be anything more than what I am. I am not claiming to be a sprint engineer. When I do go thru 2yrs of writing I sure as heck wouldnt be talking the way he or myself is.

And FWIW I aint yes aint being graded on thiis soo too mea it relly does not matter how or what it type. Point being that sure as hell was not an Engineer that wrote that.

I don't think people should get slammed or criticized for coming out and passing along information they heard about a when the ROM will be released. Most of you think it never will anyway so what’s the big deal? So what if it is wrong. I never claimed I knew 100% for sure when it was going to be release...But I thought this thread was to inform people of possible leads. I'm new to PPCGeeks and don't have a very warm welcome here. Perhaps I choose the wrong topic to start off with

Let’s all try and be nice and respect each other, their opinions and thoughts. If someone comes on here to make a bogus claim, let them. They are the ones that will look stupid on their own when the date passes. I'm sure I will if the March 10th date passes. It could happen, but oh well. I'm not asking you to believe me, just wanted to pass along any possible glimmers of hope! We are all in this together!

The leaked GPS rom has still been better than any officially released ROM for this phone

No disrespect to you at all.. I think its great that you come here to share... If your right Mad props.. If your wrong ohwell... You are not coming here claiming your anything but what you are face value...

I mean you hear what you hear and you are here sharing it.. Thats what a community does... Why we should bash on them sharing the info I dont know...

I was only only bashing the ones that say "I am a Sprint Engineer talking like a 5yr old and its never going to be released people"...
