Basically the guy says don't hold your breath. He's a Sprint Engineer.

We should not hold our breathe for Sprint to release new software, they change date every time and especially they don't know anything about technical issue with Mogul. Sprint should hire DCD, No2chem and other smart people from this forum to work for them and I think Sprint employs mostly unsure-engineers. What say you?

Why must we be so negative? What study proves that someone with X number of post has Y rating of reliability?

I appreciate the members of the industry are dropping in, and we should make them feel welcome, and give them reason to work harder for us, instead of making them feel like crap, and making us look unworthy.

I appreciate the hard work done here, but we would benefit greatly if we had some insiders on our side.

o, and now it's comin w/ 6.1???

you have the gps update from a "leaked" or cooked ROM

Anyway the reason for the holdup is that they need it to run stable. Obvioudly it will run the new apps fine, but then the speaker might not work etc...

the official rom will obviously have:
GPS
Sprint TV
6.1
and supposedly a better task manager. Also help out the memory leak problem.

Thesian, do you know me? No, of course you don't. So if I tell you that I'm really Bill Gates, then you're not going to believe me. If I tell you I work for Microsoft, it's possible but not plausible. If I tell you I heard from a friend who works at Microsoft it sounds equally ridiculous.

Now in truth, none of those statements are true, but anyone can claim they are anyone else, and they heard/know whatever. It doesn't make it true. If you are going, then, to show up out of the blue, register an account, and make those claims then it is up to you to provide solid evidence or documentation of who you are.

It's not being negative, it's being skeptical, because when you have 800 posts and have been on here for 5 years, then you learn from experience that it's a fundamental truth of life that people lie... especially when they show up out of nowhere making wild claims.

Now, I'm not saying its imprudent to be skeptical... but its one thing to doubt someones authenticty, its another to vocalize that in a fashion thats dismissive and disrespectful.

Not to mention that doubting the veracity of something (being skeptical) is inherently negative.

I would say that the manner in which we (the community) go about responding to newcomers posts makes us very elitist and unwelcoming, and hinders us in the long run, as it gives no incentive to others with potential knowledge and skills to join our community.

So please, lets just be nicer. Please.
