5038 posted. If you're running on any other build I suggest you update so you aren't running any beta code anymore.

Both,

All else was well until searching the net with PIE. Fast I must say but when browsing the net with keyboard out, and then sliding back in phone freezes. Only tried this with custom build. Probably just the site I was on though. Will continue testing.

Just built a custom build off the 5038 base and it does feel faster than previous builds. The available free RAM has dropped in this latest build for me, but it hasn't caused any issues so far for me.

Vetvito, I tried reproducing the issue you had but mine did not freeze up.

Thanks no2chem as it looks like a solid build. I am about to flash to my device...

Any Alltel users with feedback on this rom? I noticed the only (2) posts with Alltel users and one of them experienced a hangup at the Alltel boot screen. Not enough to deter my personal efforts but wanted any pre/post installation feedback.

Update 2/4/08 @ 10:33am - Installed and stable so far. Definitely snappier and responsive throughout repetitive screen swapping. Memory is not as high but it seems from reading other threads that 6.1 has better memory management so this may not be a issue. I have the Sprint animated screen (which I may or may not remove) but I can still make/recieve calls on the Alltel network. Everything seems great so far...

Update 2/4/08 @ 11:40am - Connection to data gives me the "Connecting to Sprint PCS". While connection is achieved and sustained, I am on the Alltel network. So far this may not affect anything although I would like my connection to represent Alltel...

Update 2/4/08 @ 9:15 pm - After some more testing, I found out that the rom will allow Pocket Plus's close button and other features but does NOT like the Today plugin (so it was uninstalled seperately). However the rom DID take to the HTC Home plugin & Customizer and has subsequently been operating fine with a plugin installed. In addition, I have to refresh the page after copying/renaming/installing apps or programs as it does not show changes immediately. Nothing drastic but annoying at times. Still stable after several resets...

Update 2/5/08 @ 10:10am - Infrared beam does not seem to be available in System Information. In addition the comm manager fails to activate IR. Might be a rom issue. I have made inquiry and will update once a resolution is found...

Update 2/10/08 @ 12:37am - Upgraded (its becoming a routine) to build 5044 from 5042. Functionality is the same except for the minor updates as stated in the change log. I have no issues to report and OS runs smooth and flawlessly...

The base kit gets put in to a kitchen. You still need to download the ROM though as the XIP isn't in the base kit.

This was mentioned earlier in the thread, but I never saw a response. I noticed the HTCHomePlug (Today item with battery, comm, screen) was removed with this ROM. Does anyone know where I can find this?
