To those who have GoogleMaps reading GPS data: How did you get it to work?

I've installed radio 3.27 (GPS worked several builds ago) and 5045. I've done a cold boot, verified phone and data work, loaded GoogleMaps and it can't get any GPS satellites (I'm in Seattle with huge visible sky..).

I've never had a problem with this. I think the key thing to remember is that you just need to be patient. The first time it loads the satellites will always be the longest. When I have flashed the rom, I usually just leave it for like 5 minutes in the window and it's always locked on when I come back.

One thing I have noticed and it may be just my pc, but I have to use 1 kitchen for DCD, and the the other beta 4 2 carriers for No2chems... not sure why but they don't work right for me... I'll test more later...

Here is my daily post after using the most current ROM for an entire day. LOL.

This is the best so far for battery life. I usually am at 20% - 30% by the time I get home and I am still at 60% today.

I did notice however that everyone was complaining how loud the surroundings were when I was on my Bluetooth today. I have had the same Bluetooth for over a year now and not once has anyone complained about how loud everything around me was when talking to me. Almost everyone today said something to me.

Could this have anything to do with the Bluetooth update you did for 5045? Just seems like to much of a coincidence??

Thanks again!

I think there is a bigger issue. I'm in the UK, when I first got here I was on the leaked ROM and GPS worked fine for a day after working for a few days in the states. Then all of a sudden it couldn't sat lock anymore. Once it did get a fix, but it took over an hour. I then flashed the ROM to 5045 and it sat locked the first time and second time, but now it won't lock the sats anymore. I can let it sit for 30 minutes or more with no lock. I was playing with the timezones to see if this may be the issue, in case the GPS/Software doesn't realize I'm starting half way around the world, but no luck.

Also, as a separate note, 5045 just started freezing on me just after midnight (I'm on GMT time), while it was working for the past 5-6 hours. The timing could just be coincidence, but a hard reset seems to have resolved the issue, maybe temporarily.

I'll admit that I had been giving up at just about 5 minutes after constant seeking Sats with no results. Now I'm up to 25 minutes (still letting it run though) and still 0 satellites...

I also ran IOTA and even the Mogul QuickGPS download on this thread, still no GPS...

Any other tips out there????

My GPS has been just hit and miss but mosting working with the last several of these ROM's I've used.

I went back and was sure to install the entire leaked radio and ROM and I allowed the ExtROM from the leaked ROM to fully install and then I ran IOTA from the phone settings. Next, I flashed like 5041 I think was the first, and every version since except 5044.

Each flash Google maps would take ATLEAST 5 mins to finally locate the GPS sats but once it did, all other times I would run it without soft resetting, it would find them within 60 seconds.
