any ideas on the best way to go about getting rid of the default "x-button" task manager? i personally prefer tMan, and the one that comes stock in this ROM isn't listed in the remove programs list...

I second this. I recall I had serious memory leak issues with this version previously. I'd really like to just go back to the other version of x-button just to be on the safe side...

GPS is now working indoors for me after connecting to 2 sats following what many have stated regarding a hard reset after the initial ROM Update. My GPS worked but wasn't very reliable and would not work indoors at all. I did a Hard reset of the device and now it is consistant with what many have said. GPS works far better now. However, I noticed that other GPS programs do not get connect to sats unless Google Maps is running. I am wondering if this will be the standard when the Official ROM release occurs.

The code between the # signs is unique to each phone - this is your MSL if you are on Sprint - you will have to either get it from them or use the getspc program to get it on your own. Then you enter ##yourmsl#

Alltel and Verizon uses 000000 for their MSL and the sequence is a little different ##000000 send

It seems that it makes a huge difference whether one has cellular signal or not. My Mogul never seems to get a satellite lock outside at my house, but once I drive into an area with strong signal it eventually finds the satellites.

This is what makes me laugh when people fear we "only" have AGPS. The "A" part means that the unit gets assistance from cellular towers in finding the locations of satellites. With the crappy miniature GPS antenna crammed into the phone's case along with all the other stuff in there, without help from the towers it might never find any satellites.

Once I get a satellite lock, the unit definitely does not need a cellular signal to obtain location information - there are enough cellular-free areas around here to make that clear. As I drive into and out of them, Google Maps is able to keep tracking even when it is unable to download maps.

Wow Activesync ?

Wow this is darn exciting...

My question is regarding activesync and if it no longer works?

Does this mean you cannot sync with Outlook ? or

Cannot sync with your computer to move files?

Cannot wait for GPS and Rev A but have to SYNC with Outlook 2007.

Thanks for all of your help in advance!

Thanks to K Mart Burrito.
