Help! My phone is stuck in the bootloader screen. I keep getting the error "your device is not upgradeable" on the PC. I have the last 2.17 rom from HTC. I've never used a custom rom. How do I revert or do I have a brick

After hard resetting and letting the Sprint customizations go through this time, I got GPS working with Google. I have no idea if this is chance or if there is something in the customizations. Just passing it on for research purposes.
I had to go outside, wait for google maps to do a lot of loading and then after about 5 minutes, it locked on. Now I guess I may play with it and hard reset again to see if I can get it working without Sprint customizations which suck. |

Started out with Sprints 2.17 stock ROM .
USB cable connected to phone and recognized in activesync. Launch the new ROM exe file. Verifies connectivity with the phone and existing version, 2.17. Starts to install... Multi-color screen comes up on the phone... Then changes to the grey progress bar... Works its way to 11%... Phone goes back to multi-colored screen... Computer stays on 11%. Finally after about 60 seconds, computer comes back with ERROR 290: INVALID COMMAND, and my only options are to start the recovery. I go through the recovery... And the same loop starts again as described above. I have allowed this about 7 times. I have used the titan_exitbl.exe and the phone boots back into the 2.17 ROM. Any ideas? well..stability seems fine...remember though, this is not an OFFICIAL release. I will test BT as soon as i leave work. GPS not working for me, even switched com4 and 9600-which locked google maps up. The included app lauches, but ultimately tells me GPS signal weak. Device does seem snappier, but of course this is after a fresh reset, with no junk installed yet. No sprint Tv included, havent tried OZ yet, but that probably wont work either. Rev.A definately seems to be working. No other problems yet...
Note..I never had any BT problems with any of the ROMS. |

just keep trying- reboot your computer, and phone and try again...
if its saying cant find device try unplugging it and taking the battery off...replace it see if it sees the phone... it took me like 10 tries |
