Re: Zagg Invisible shield real world review

Cool. Thanks, guys. Though I loathe Best Buy, I may go pick this up today (rather than wait for it to come in the mail... people seem to have had some problems receiving theirs in a timely manner).

Re: Zagg Invisible shield real world review

the invisi-shield is a good product but NOT for the omnia.. ( maybe for the back but not the front ). It gives a spongy feel to it ( this is normal ) but the problem is that the stylus wants to "dig" into the shield when sliding across, making it somewhat aggravating when using the stylus. As far as using it with finger swipes, I find that it also does make swipes NOT work as well. On the iPhone or Touch this is not the case. I have the shield on all of my products including my iPhone 3G / Touch / iPod Nano / Macbook Pro. So I have experience with it and installed on all without any problems. But the bottom line is if you like it for your omnia then great. I don't and I am taking it off as we speak..

No once you take it off it stretches out and pretty much becomes useless. They will send you a replacement pretty much no questions asked. I've gotten about 4 replacements for my old Glyde and one for my Omnia. All i do is tell them that I had to bring the phone in for service and they send me a link to pay them and a mailing address to send the old one back.

Re: Zagg Invisible shield real world review

You are all talking about getting full shields and ive tried them on different phones, however i use alot of those gestures on my phone and i used it on a touch pro trying to use the touch cube and found the shields a bit too sticky, is there any place that just sells the back of it since i have found a screen protector i really like, dont ask me the brand not sure, but its got a mirror finish to it so when its off the screen looks soething like that of the lg shine.

You do realize that to get things you should give things, right? If you want information, and have also found a product that you really like because it works so well, why not tell the community what it is in return for the information that you expect to receive from the community (instead of just saying "don't ask" --why not check your receipts or find your e-mail confirmation if you ordered it online)?

That said, thanks for letting us know that you've found the Zagg shield to feel "sticky" for screen motions.

i bought the zagg screen protector at bestbuy, i only got the front cover but to me it looks and feels awsome. yes it does feel like it adds a little "sticky" feel but to me it has improved the accuracy of when i use the keyboard. def going to buy the backing for this i love it!

Re: Zagg Invisible shield real world review

Got my 2 shields the other day. I purchased a spare. The 2 boxes came in a mail wrap. I noticed that the inside of the mail pack was wet as well as the packing slip and the 2 boxes inside. I didn't know why this was until I got home and realized that in one of the boxes the liquid leaked out of the spray bottle that comes with the shield. I applied one of the shields an hour ago. Applied pretty easily once you get the shield wet with the spray. You can slide it around until you get the perfect alignment. The first time took me about 5 minutes, from opening the package to application. The second time took me a couple of minutes. I removed it after I squeegied it on because I wanted the alignment to be more perfect. I could feel that the shield wanted to stretch as I started to remove it so I applied more of the liquid and it came off pretty easily. I reapplied it and it fits perfectly. The shield is alittle tacky and as described earlier, the stylus wants to dig into the shield. This is not enough reason for me to give up the shield though. The shield appears to have a texture to it which may be one of the properties that makes it scratchproof. The tackyness and spongy feeling may dissipate with time. Only time will tell regarding the resistance to scratches .After trying the boxwave shield which showed scratches from the stylus after only an hour or so, I am looking forward to seeing the resistance of the ZAGG protector to scratching. It has only been on for an hour or so but I like this shield. The clarity is excellent. Really nice product as long as it resists scratching. I will keep you posted to that and its other properties. I will call ZAGG regarding the liquid leaking out of the spray bottle.
