Re: Zagg Invisible shield real world review
Does anyone know if these clear plastic protectors will hide scratches that are already there? I got out of the car this evening and I was wearing sweats and had the omnia in my front pocket. You can probably guess what happened next............so of course it lands face down on the gravel and now has multiple nicks and scratches on the screen and the top of the chrome ring.
I am very meticulous with my gadgets and don't know if I can live with this so I think I need to come up with a way to at least make it less noticable. Anyone else scratch theirs? |

Where the screen protectors may hide a little, I have a feeling you will still see them, but it would be worth a shot, or you can look into one of these:

The reason is that while it is wet and not yet "cured" it's more vulnerable and in fact can be damaged. Once it's cured... man that is some tough stuff. And in my case, in reference to the poster wearing sweats asking about covering existing scratches, it did cover some very minor scratches that I had. Hope this helps! |

Re: Zagg Invisible shield real world review
I had a very minor vertical scratch in my screen that was about an inch long. You could only see it with the screen off, it disappeared when the screen was turned on. With the invisible shield installed, I can no longer see that scratch at all. Keep in mind... it was a very shallow scratch... your mileage may vary.

Re: Zagg Invisible shield real world review
Thanks for the help guys. I think I'm going to try something like Zagg and see how it looks since I should be using something like that anyway. If I had done it from the start I wouldn't have this problem.

Re: Zagg Invisible shield real world review
I just got mine and it is for the i910-it has the properly fitting front screen. A little tricky to put on (I put one on my mp3 player first for practice) but I think that it is well worth it. I did get mine at the 50% off which is why I got one for the mp3. I have a pink hard shell and black rubber gel coverfor it and they are ok, but takes away from the sleekness of it. But it is nice to switch up the colors!

Re: Zagg Invisible shield real world review
Short update on day 3 with the shield:
Very happy I spent the money on this thing. From 12 inches away, you can't tell there is anything on the phone unless you know exactly what to look for. The feel of the phone is good. Its not sticky anymore.... more like very smooth, almost a slightly "oily" feel to it. It is very easy to hang on too, but doesn't grab my fingers either. Haven't decided whether I'm going to do it or not, but I've seen some posts on the internet where people have used car wax on a screen protector in order to give it that "ultra slick" feel. Any ever try this? |

Re: Zagg Invisible shield real world review
Weird because I know that Zagg previously had the i910 front protector so they might just be out of stock.
Some time ago I ordered a front for my i910. However, either at the time there was no i910 page or I was mistakenly on the i900 page. In either case I bought the front protector for $14.95. When I received it and installed it was when I noticed the hole. Based on a thread in another forum I then saw that there was indeed a front protector there for the i910 with no hole. I notified Zagg I received the wrong item. They graciously said that I should buy the i190 item, return the used i900 item and they would refund the i900 item. I thought this was pretty nice of them after all. It took a couple weeks but I received the refund the other day. The i910 item was only $11.95. It must cost $3 to cut the whole for the i900! |
