Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

Go to Settings>System>Power Options.

Under calling tab, uncheck turn off backlight.

Flashing can kill your phone. Are you sure you want to?

Lastly, these cabs will flip the switch between dialers. Reset after install.

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

Thanks for the reply Adrynalyne. Unfortunately, that turn off backlight box has been unchecked during all this time that this problem has been occurring. I am going to try to switch dialers and see if that helps. Shame, because I really liked your black water droplet theme dialer. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

Edit: The message is that the Adryn%20dialer%20switcher-windows.cab was successfully installed on your device.
The program you have installed may not display properly because it was designed for a previous version of Windows Mobile software. When I went into My Storage and tried to install it, the message said that the previous dialer must be removed first. When I clicked OK, the message said that it could not be removed. What do you think that means? Interesting problem.

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

The warning can be ignored. Its how I packaged it.

If those won't install, then you will need to flip the switch manually.

HKLm/Security/Phone/Skin

Enabled 1
Enabled 0

1=Samsung dialer.
0=Winmo dialer.

Send all Audio to Bluetooth device

Hopefully this is a quick checkbox I am missing. My car is paired with my phone and comes up ans a bluetooth headset. Is there a setting somewhere to send all audio to the bluetooth device? I'd like to be able to not just have a phone call through my car audio system, but the music that is on the device as well. Seeing I don't have an line-in jack, I am thinking that is going to be the only way.

Thanks.

Any ideas?
Yes had this happen, installed WMWiFiRouter, so I could use my Omnia as a modem at home without paying for stupid tethering fees with Verizon. Isn't it enough I have to have the unlimited data plan, why pay more for a modem? Under options on the WMWiFiRouter there is a crash cleanup, use that, then do a soft reset and your Wifi icon will return along with the ability to use the WiFi. Hope this helps.

[quote=blile;565824] When entering a name in either Sms, or email "to" field no names from contacts pop up. In every other WM phone ive had, names automatically pop up as you type. On the Omnia, nothing pops up. You have to click "add recipient" or "check name" that kinda sucks.

Any way to fix that? quote]

This is a huge annoyance for me. Anybody have any solutions?

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

Adrynalyne, another naive question. If I want to backup my phone with Resco, after the backup, if I need to do a hard reset, won't that get rid of the Resco program also and lose my backup info? How can I prevent that from happening, and, if I want to restore my info back to the phone, what steps do I take? Thanks as always!

enter a partial name in the To: field like "Andr" and type your text. When you hit the send button it will show you the list of matches like "Andrew" etc and you can select the one you want to send to.
