Re: Sprint Pro vs. Vzn Pro vents!
YA..... i was with vzn for 4 years. Back then they were charging me 99.99 for 1 line with 750 shared minutes and data. Pic mail and text was extra. So everytime someone fired me off a text it would cost me .25 cents automatically... You could not imagine how pisst off i was at all my friends who text me just to bill up my bill! So I had 2 lines so it cost me 237.87 a month on average. And thats if I used up the 750 shared minutes with my gf. I felt soo gimped. The I found sero. OMG! Best thing ever. My bill went from 237.87 to 74.54. All all the perks included! Weeeeeeeeee

Sprint here in the Coachella Valley is a joke. Their coverage worsens daily and I had dropped calls all day every day. It got so bad that Hesse's office tried to call me and could not get through! Their current map is like swiss cheese - my primary business line was seriously affected...imagine a custoemr calling up who is upset and the call drops? They think you hung up on them! I have the HTC TP with Verizon. I love goofing with the wallpapers and themes. This will not take a theme change. I added palringo, snap2face, and cannot change the weather to anything in my area. It is wonderful to know what the weather is in Barcelona, London and the like...but I would like to see cities here in the Coachella Valley. So what are my choices? Sprint: losing towers daily due to inrastructure changes and payments to the leasing company on those towers and seriously affected service; AT&T: so far, only complaints on the iPhone and the darn HTC Pro GSM has the whackiest keyboard setup I have laid eyes on...could not use it quickly and their service is only marginally better than Sprint's out here; Verizon: only service valley wide...HTC TP or the Storm? The Storm was a disaster and is still on my desk awaiting a return. Check the blackberry forums for that horrendous release. If anyone can figure out how to make my HTC TP from Verizon work better, than I am all for it. Otherwise, it comes down to having a cool customizable phone and no service or a locked down phone and my customers can reach me daily. ![]() |

To get the first refurb took 22 phone calls and three months plus a few more days. Each refurb after that was a biweekly trip to the service center (great guys there) but how the hell can they do business when the refurbs are customer damaged from water, soda, drops, throws and other insanity ((probably from dealing with Sprint CS... ![]() It has cost me in my time alone over $2,500 just getting a phone to work with Sprint. Ya gotta figure driving time, reloading and testing, and then adding back all of the custom stuff I loaded. Good luck when you leave Verizon! (As much as I hate locked down phones.) |

VZ's crippled phone selection annoys me as much as anybody however, so when I decided to switch from my HIGHLY customized 6800 to a touchpro I went out & got a sprint TP & ported ot over to my vz account. My new TP works flawlessly & I don't have to worry about garbled one sided calls, dropped disconnected calls etc etc etc etc like I had daily with sprint. The ONLY good thing I could say about having sprint was that if I didn't feel like talking to my boss I could simply turn off the phone & tell him "I must not have been in a sprint coverage area". He won't buy that anymore. I switched my personal phone to vz, but since then my company switched 187 business phones from sprint to vz for the very same reasons.....(they gave us a heck of a deal, but sprint was still cheaper) ~John |

Re: Sprint Pro vs. Vzn Pro vents!
To add to this, a girl who worked for me for years is now married to a sprint exec.
When asked by a friend about cell service, I have heard him say "you didn't hear this from me, but sprints coverage sucks. If you want the absolute best network, go with verizon" ~John |

They sold a bunch of their towers in an effort to raise cash. The concept was to lease them back, BUT, as we all know, if you don't make payments, Da Repo Man Come Get Ya! ![]() http://www.fiercewireless.com/story/...eal/2008-09-25 |
