paid 49$ for 2nd epic i bought shift was even trade and worth 100$ i guess, im gonna play with it awhile though.

C'mon man. We all know that BOTH the Epic and the Shift are GREAT devices.

I started this thread to have an mature and objective discussion to weigh the pro's and con's of both.
So, can we use this thread to aide those of us who need to make a decision between the Epic and the Shift ????

well i have both and even side by side the epic looks better with screen of but when you turn epic on and shift the epic kills it and no foyo yet on epic so its only gonna get better.

how about the battery life? which one is better for a normal use of internet application & talk time ?

id go out on a limb and say the shift prolly has better battery life. same 1500 mah on each but with the shift clocked at a lower speed, it would get better battery life. also, superamoled screen vs lcd takes moar juice too.

well so far epic does and its on "froyo" but to back that up i will find a link on just how crappy batterylife is on shift.this may help decide which to buy.

I was doing a search for the EVO shift processor speed & stumbled upon this forum. Very interesting discussion! I'm still up in the air about this Evo Shift. The processor is slower, no dual cameras/video chat, only comes with 2G SD card compared to EVO/Epic which comes with much larger ones...Among other things. (Why Sprint???? To make it cheaper???) I don't mind the smaller screen but some articles have stated that the keyboard is not as user friendly as the Touch P2. I really like Android better than Windows. Windows may have lost a customer for life with all the problems I've had with the Touch P2 as far as the OS goes, but still trying to figure out if I want the Shift or if I should wait to see if something else new will be arriving soon.
