Re: Epic 4G vs. Evo Shift 4G. Which is the phone to get? Why?

LOL...
I meant General off topic.
Anyhoo...
I like that EVO shift for my wife... The smaller screen is more pocketable and the lack of a front facing camera is not much of a concern YET. Eventually, once all the phones come with one and the networks allow for ease of use... It might become a factor when selecting a phone.
For now... I think the addition of a keyboard is a plus for a lot of people (Mrs. AZTECHKA being one of them)

Gonna check them out this weekend after I find out what else was released at CES.

Re: Epic 4G vs. Evo Shift 4G. Which is the phone to get? Why?

Latest YouTube videos showing the "Shift"s processor whipping the pants off both the Epic and the Evo.. !!
It's not even overclocked and it is already kicking *ss off the 2 top existing Sprint 4G phones!

Too bad they were too cheap to put a bigger screen, dam at least a 3.7 to set it apart from the other cheap and older models.
The keyboard looks to be similar to the TP2, so I would have to say it is going to be very good.
Still, not really enough for me to make the change over to android, from my TP2 ..

smoke and mirrors. the processor is less powerful in the evo shift. 800mhz compared to 1ghz in evo and epic.

The processor mhz amount has no bearing as they all have different processors..

I think the best test would actually be playing a video,
I dunno why they haven't, but I whish HTC would come out
with better screens like the Samsung.

Would go for an Epic, but don't like the keyboard as it is harder to press,
and the keys are not staggered like a real keyboard, like HTC.
But at least the keys are not recessed and mushy like the Transform.
The Epic and Transform models have their buttons laid out in straight vertical rows, whereas the HTC & motorola models have keys laid out like a real keyboard.

omg i agree with you? i just got a shift for a trade with sprint on one of my epics and the shift is in no means better or near as good as the epic. its a cool phone but not as fast or smooth as epic even with froyo on shift, its a cool starter phone but not for big boy tweakers.

And there we have it. The planets are in perfect alignment. Angels are singing. All is now perfect in the universe.
