Re: Anyone somewhat regretting the TP2 after seeing the HTC Evo 4G?

Let's all remember we are playing into for the hype machine. Remember when the Palm Pre came out and everyone was going to jump on that bandwagon? I'm sure WebOS is fine but I have been on Windows Mobile since the Apache and I am still a fan. I'm sure the Evo will be nice and fun to play with but the TP2 still works... so why fix it?

Yes, I'm selling my NIB TP2 on ebay and Ill be getting the evo. There is really nothing to lose since I could always sell the evo if I don't like it and buy a TP2 again.

Re: Anyone somewhat regretting the TP2 after seeing the HTC Evo 4G?

I have a touch pro 2, nexus one and Evo 4g from goole I\O. I cant even use TP2 or HD2 because wm is so slow vs android. I thought my touch pro 2 was fast until I used my N1. On my touch pro 2 I never browsed the internet or used gps. Trying to look up a number on the road with my touch pro 2 was a waste of time and never got the job done. With my N1 I can speak the address of where i want to go and with in secs am using free google maps with turn by turn directions. I would have to pull over and spend 10 mins getting gps locked and working to use it on my touch pro 2. The N1 is 10x better then the TP2 and the Evo is 10x better then my N1. If you can get the Evo do it. It’s the best phone I have every used.

I enjoy my TP2..... Just like buying a new laptop. You get one then a month later you see one with more RAm and HArddrive space. So its all in the game of technology. In months to come there will be a phone with a 2ghz snapdragon chip with 12MP cam 128GB flash harddrive. Then we will be mad again..... But you got to love it. They know how to get your money. They got me.......lol

Re: Anyone somewhat regretting the TP2 after seeing the HTC Evo 4G?

I started months ago trying to see how android works. Great software even on TP2. I got all my apps ready for Friday morning. Its going to be a line at my bestbuy in DC. I will be there.

I will miss flashing new ROM every other day to see who made the best ROM. WM7 will have to wow me and have a big app store for me to switch back...... See ya'll on the other side..

This is basically all I try to tell people.. I loved my tp2 until I moved to android but from then on there really was no looking back at winmo again.

You seem to be under the impression that you cant root and flash roms on android...

Re: Anyone somewhat regretting the TP2 after seeing the HTC Evo 4G?

tp2 is my first winmo phone. and coming from iphone 3g -> htc g1, i was excited about its tweakability.... but that quickly wore off.

I only paid $50 after $100 rebate... but i can't wait till my contract ends.
It's really not a matter of tp2 vs evo. It's really a matter of winmo vs android.

I seldom consider the possibilities of paying ETF just to get out.
