SMS part Works Great on my 700wx!

One thing.....When I receive SMS, it comes over time stamped about 8 minutes behind. When I send a reply, it shows the correct time in the thread, but the person on the other end (wife with 700wx) shows the time stamp as about 8 minutes behind.

Do I have a setting messed up? Do I have to make a change to the registry?

Any help is appreciated. Loving it BTW!

Thanks

This is a Sprint thing, not a threaded app thing.

Even 700p users are experiencing off send/receive times.

I installed the beta 3 today and the SMS app is running fine, however, I cannot launch Pocket outlook any more, any one has the same problem?

Wideawake 11-05-2006 08:56 PM

nope u sure u overwrote all the files? because tmail.exe is the poutlook file. u get an error or it just doesn't open?

dng 11-05-2006 09:23 PM

Yes, I overwrote all the files using Resco. Pocket Outlook just doesn't open, even when I go directly to tmail.exe in windows.

Did I do something wrong? Well, obviously I did, I mean what did I do? How can I fix it or is a hard reset my only option?

tia!

It sounds like you didn't copy ALL the files from \Program Files\Palm Messaging over to \Windows.

You must "show all files" and there should be upwards of 13 files to copy including .dll files. If you even miss 1, you will get these errors.

No need for a hard reset. Just re-copy ALL the files in that directory to \Windows.

Nothing worked; I hard reset and reinstalled, making absolutely certain that all 13 files were present and that all 13 were copied to the proper folder. I went to the messaging app and the new sms threaded version was there; before I had a chance to test it, I noticed the "no service" icon lit on my today screen. Sure enough, when I tried to go to the phone app, same error appeared. I don't know if it's a conflict with another app, my service provider or my phone.
