I can send and receive just fine with Threaded text and a 700wx to another 700wx. Have tried it with 3 separate users with total success. Failure has come with the 700wx sending to any 6700 with threaded SMS. However, I do not know if that is threaded sms or just a 700wx --> 6700 issue as I have not tried it prior to the Palm app. Now, is this b/c of the Palm threaded SMS or b/c of the ongoing problem with the 700wx and Sprint messaging? My feeling is it's the latter as it makes the most sense. Once we get our "fix" I think we can better evaluate what does and doesn't work on the Treo. |
Hi, I did what the instructions told me, but now when I try to use my phone, the following error message pops up: "cprog is not a valid pocket pc application"
Did I do something wrong? Well, obviously I did, I mean what did I do? How can I fix it or is a hard reset my only option? tia! |

You must "show all files" and there should be upwards of 13 files to copy including .dll files. If you even miss 1, you will get these errors. No need for a hard reset. Just re-copy ALL the files in that directory to \Windows. |

same here i can text my wifes 6700 and she can text me with no problems. i have a 700wx but when i try to text another user with a 6700 and the threaded app he receives mine but it says " message cannot be displayed" but i recieve his texts just fine.....

Good info guys.
That is interesting about the 6700 cannot receive from the 700wx once Palm Messaging is installed. Not sure why that is. Maybe related to the whole 700wx/Sprint/SMS debacle, which at this point is the null hypothesis. Anyone know of someone with Cingular, a WM5 device and Palm Messaging installed? Does it work there? lol That's really our only option for investigating this further... |
