To Expediate this process here is the deal:
I am a Microsoft Student Rep and have tons upon tons of swag in my possession. TO WHO EVER CAN PACKAGE THE FILES THAT WERE REPLACED WITH THE INSTALL I WILL SEND A VERY NICE CARE PACKAGE FROM YOUR FRIEND AT MICROSOFT!!! PLEASE EMAIL THE FILES TO samuel.coler@mnsu.edu Thanks for your help in this.. |
just a quick ? did u move those files from the directories like stated when testing it? also did u download the one labeled (29th)?
|
I copied all the files over to \windows (used resco and made sure to "view all" files) and had them replaced.
Now I'm screwed because everytime I open messenging it says "tmail is from an untrusted source" or something like that. I may just do a hard reset and start from scratch... |
what device do u have? and check the treo forum for the topic I think can not send to email with palm threaded sms app and it has my tmail.exe attached to it which difinitly works.

 the tmail problem sounds like one of the .dll or even tmail.exe was for some reason, unsigned and not recognized by the system. I call "fluke" on this one and suggest a hard-reset (sorry!) and try again. also, though I haven't tried a direct comparison between it and Sprite, I swear by SPB Backup. |
The best way to get a list of the files is simply to reinstall the CAB and get the file names from the Palm Messaging directory and then uninstall the CAB, unless you never deleted the Palm Messaging folder... then just get the file names from there.
Re: the backup issue. Hard reset and then restore the backup. |
Heres the list....now post a new thread not in this one ;)

Anyone have a fix for attaching files to emails directly from poutlook? When I try, it pops up a blank error message. I can attach pics, but not files.
The workaround is to open Resco or any file explorer and chose "Send To Email" and it attaches that way. This is a pain, but works for now. A few others over at treocentral have verified that this is currently an issue with them as well. |
nice find i hadnt noticed that i dig around and see wht i can come up with.

You can attach Pictures directly with no problem, it is just "files". I too have experienced this.
Not good if you need to send multiple attachments. |
