Think the older version of Swype would cause similar issues?

lafester, are you still running 6.1? Was wondering how you liked it, if you had any further comments. Also, did you have any issue getting the file added to the ruu? When I add the 6.1 rom to it all seems fine until I try to install and it gives me a "file broken" error. I've added lots of these to ruu's before and have never had any issue. Just wondering as I would like to give this a go.

I am running RC1 now. Having a few problems that I don't know the source of. Like someone said a few posts back, the phone seems very sluggish. After I first flashed the phone with RC1, it wouldn't boot up...just froze. So, I pulled the battery and did a hard reset. It worked for awhile, but still sluggish. Then later that same day (yesterday) the phone froze again and I had to pull the battery. I had nothing installed at the time of either freeze. I've done a couple hard resets and the phone still seems sluggish.

I dunno about this...doesn't make much sense at all.

It may not make sense -but I have heard people recommend it. If you watch Dash's (SmartPhoneJunkies) tutorial on flashing- he suggests hard resetting 2x after a flash, pulling the battery each time for 30 seconds.

I have been doing that for years , hard reset and pulling the battery for a minute or so . Gives the code time to settle in they say. From what I read , I am having less problems after flashing a new rom.

I had lots of issues with the new version of Swype that Drellisdee baked in his last ROM; however, I installed the old version of Swype on 23554 and, so far, have not had any issues. (Fingers crossed. You know what they say - once you go swype, you never go back!)

I've attached the old version of Swype just in case anyone needs it.

Drellisdee,

I know you pulled Microsoft Tag from the last ROM because it didn't work. I just tried installing it on RC1 and it still hangs when trying to initialize the camera. Any way you think this could be fixed?
