Stock install of the RC1 ROM. No additional software installation at all. I can't get into dotfred on a reliable basis to check for running apps, but honestly I haven't even been able to get far enough along to start anything up last night.

Today it seems to be running a tad better. Still much slower than the stock Verizon ROM that I came off of.

Anyone else having the following issues:
-Screen stays on and device will not automatically go into lock mode
-Selecting a contact to edit locks up device for a few minutes.
-Buttons light up but screen stays off.
-Can't find setting to stop weather animation on Home Screen.

I think I prefer the old Task Manager for closing out programs too, is that not included in this ROM?

I think if I can get it responding equally as fast as my Stock Verizon ROM was i'll be very happy with this one, but so far the sluggishness i'm experiencing is a real drag.

Thanks for this insight. I imagine my issues may be with Sense 2.5 then. The CAB posted earlier eliminated the constant clock update behavior thankfully. THAT was a HUGE annoyance. Why would anyone enjoy that??

Is sense 2.5 required for this microsoft beta 6.5.5?

Something went wrong with your yours that didn't happen to anyone else. Hard reset it. There is a cab posted a few pages ago to stop weather animations. The stock task manager doesn't work on 6.5.5 it has showcase task manager press icon or press and hold the start icon to launch it.

Actually, a lot of those were the issues that I was having. Night and day better since I flashed back to stock, then flashed RC1.

Thanks.
I just turned off sense and went to the stock Windows home screen setup, soft reset, then started sense back up. Seems to be working a LOT smoother right now. a WHOLE lot smoother.
Also, did the weather animation stop cab too.

Proceeded to try a hard reset. Get to the Clear Storage screen to enter "1234" and my Swype keyboard pops up. Swype key inputs won't register into the input screen and so I go to switch to the standard QWERTY keyboard....no luck, locks up. I repeat this process 4 times and have to soft reset each time just regain control. Looks like Swype might be the root of my problems. Going to uninstall Swype and do the hard reset.

You don't need to use the clear storage method. You can hard reset with your phone off. Just press and hold the send key, the end key, and the volume down button at the same time.

Too late, already did the 1234 thing after uninstalling Swype. I'm now suspecting the Swype was the culprit to some of my issues.
I'll try the end/send/vol down method next go round though. Thanks.

I don't know what caused your problem but I have read in many threads that Swype and Total Commander sometimes cause bugs in custom roms , they like to kind of take over in certain situations. I have had a few problems with both but was always able to work them out. The hard reset does solve many problems with glitches.
