Re: [ROM] 6.5.5 Drellisdee Whitestone RC1.5 23569 06/15/10
Assuming you are using sense 2.5 in 2 moves (setting tab>Wireless Controls) you are there.
or Double clicking the top bar will drop down the 6.5.x options, then you simply click Phone. as for the visual voicemail...Drellisdee always keeps things as clean as possible. alot of people, myself included dont use vvm, and those who do use different apps for it. |

1) Use Total Commander or Resco Explorer (I will use Total Commander since it comes with the rom). Navigate to the Windows directory. Scroll down to the CommManagerLink.exe. Tap to highlight. Press "File" (bottom left corner). Press ">>>>>" on the menu. Press "Create Shortcut". Press "Tree". Expand "Windows". Expand "Start Menu". Single tap "Programs". Press "OK" (bottom left). It is much easier then the play by play makes it sound. 2) As for VVM - are you saying the app doesn't work? Just wondering bc there is a shortcut for VVM in the start menu. I never use it so I wouldn't know if ti works or not. If you would like something similar - you can get a Google Voice number. Google Voice went public last week so you don't need an invite. GV will transcribe a voice mail and then send you a text. Some pretty funny stuff sometimes. Last edited by thepolishguy; 06-29-2010 at 05:30 PM. |

Re: [ROM] 6.5.5 Drellisdee Whitestone RC1.5 23569 06/15/10
to clarify my point regarding VVM, the Verizon VVM, when installing the stand-alone cab, the integration with the OS is not there, so the text messages that Verizon's system sends down to the phone, which should be intercepted and used by VVM, is not. Minor annoyance, thats about it.

Sorry I've been away for a bit but have been building android for x-86 for the last week with pretty good success and learned a lot that could maybe help in android for imagio if I ever get time. On the VVM issue the VVM I cook in works. However, instead of the VVM sms trigger auto opening the app you see the garbled text as VM alert aside from that its fully functional. The vvm app places an inbox rule that sits above the default MS messaging that scans incoming and rule matches to open VVM, With HMC it doesn't work as HMC gets the message before it ever reaches the rule. I've tried changing its position and also using the tmobile vvm rules as they work with HMC with no luck. VVM is also hard coded in .exe to only use MS messaging. Since its a closed source app like all WM stuff the only way for it to work fully with HMC and sense 2.5 is for VZW to release a rom with both of those and an updated VVM.

Sense 2.5 Kitchen Released!!!!

Directions: THIS IS NOT FOR NON-SENSE 2.5 BUILDING. Use my simple kitchen and move over ext pkgs from this one if you want the stock sense or a no-sense build. 1. Download and extract in your C:/ root not on desktop etc. 2. I've saved templates to give you an idea whats required. (Load Rom button) I have a com5 and com2 template both with and without HMC. 3. Pretty much everything in zzz_reg & Manila 2.5 dependancies are REQUIRED as the zzz_reg are my patches etc. 4. I've included my tuned xip in the oemxipkernel folder of 23569 & 21896. The 21874 I left stock so you can use a program like beyond compare to see the changes I've made to mirror them for newer builds if you want or just copy the 21874 folder from rom/whitestone and rename it to your new build # if you want to keep it stock. You can just copy and rename 23569 rom/whitestone folder to reuse my tuned xip too. 5. For moving a new sys in use beyond compare to compare it to either the com2 21896 or com5 23569 to see what you need and mirror it. 6. Any publicly released roms built from my kitchen or any part thereof will need to post a credit line to me for use of this kitchen. Unless you are a very advanced user I'd recommend using my templates as a guide as it will build fully working roms as stable as the ones I release . This thread is not to be turned into a how to for visual kitchen as there are plenty of guides available if you search. FYI: The newer non COM5 builds ie. 231xx 233xx 26xxx and 24xxx builds will require patches that I don't include nor support for dialer/caller id etc. Try to stick with com2/5 unless you want to search/read xda for fixes. Also, don't use PPC Kitchen sys as it will have attrib all messed up and lead to a no-booting rom or a messed up one if built with this style of kitchen. Download link Download Here You will need to PM me for passwords and this is not to be redistributed outside of PPCGeeks. Last edited by Getitnowmarketing; 06-30-2010 at 03:43 PM. |

Re: [ROM|KITCHEN] 6.5.5 Drellisdee Whitestone RC1.5 23569 06/30/10
Does this ROM support DRM and specifically does it allow for playing of subscription content from Rhapsody?
Thanks Nick |

No one on any WM6.5 device has Rhapsody DRM on any cooked rom. I have all the correct packages cooked in and it just doesn't work. However, those same packages cooked on a 6.1 test rom give working DRM.

Re: [ROM|KITCHEN] 6.5.5 Drellisdee Whitestone RC1.5 23569 06/30/10
Ok men -
Time to pony up! Man The Dr. has gone way beyond what I expected! Seriously though - if you have appreciated his Rom's and all his hard work - and now sharing his kitchen - please think about making a donation. I probably sound like a butt kisser - sorry. But let's face it - hitting the "thank you" button is nice, but if even a hand full of us would give $10-$20 a piece, at least he could take his lady out to Olive Garden and make up for all the time he spends on here fixing his rom for us. You know you'll drop $10 on energy drinks this week! Send a little to The Doc- I think that is a little bit better "thank you". I will get off my soap box now (I actually am a preacher, so this comes kind of naturally). |
