That being said, is there any chance you would build a non-Sense, non-HTC Messaging ROM on your 1.5e base? You have a great & stable base, and I know there are several people who prefer to use Titanium or another shell without all the Sense bloat & HTC messaging.

I know you are busy, and of course it is your ROM, but I just thought I would ask.

+1 Here here. I second the request! Although I have no idea whether I would have the skills to even use it. Maybe some of us interested parties should get a little collection going (you know - some $$). I know the Dr doesn't expect it - but it would be a good way to show our appreciation.

idk if i would have the skills either, but it would be fun and useful to learn, and lighten the load of requests we beg of the Dr haha

I uploaded 99% of my kitchen. I was a little hesitiant about it as I've had others in the past take full credit for my hard work. This kitchen I've been working on for months since October 09 to be exact and have put hundreds of hours into it. As masionpulsaki said I don't expect/require donations. However I'm opening up my hard work to the public to build their own roms with instead of starting from scratch like I did and any donations would be very greatly appreciated given the amount of work/time I've put into this.

Directions:

THIS IS NOT FOR NON-SENSE 2.5 BUILDING. Use my simple kitchen and move over ext pkgs from this one if you want the stock sense or a no-sense build.

1. Download and extract in your C:/ root not on desktop etc.
2. I've saved templates to give you an idea whats required. (Load Rom button) I have a com5 and com2 template both with and without HMC.
3. Pretty much everything in zzz_reg & Manila 2.5 dependancies are REQUIRED as the zzz_reg are my patches etc.
4. I've included my tuned xip in the oemxipkernel folder of 23569 & 21896. The 21874 I left stock so you can use a program like beyond compare to see the changes I've made to mirror them for newer builds if you want or just copy the 21874 folder from rom/whitestone and rename it to your new build # if you want to keep it stock. You can just copy and rename 23569 rom/whitestone folder to reuse my tuned xip too.
5. For moving a new sys in use beyond compare to compare it to either the com2 21896 or com5 23569 to see what you need and mirror it.
6. Any publicly released roms built from my kitchen or any part thereof will need to post a credit line to me for use of this kitchen.

Unless you are a very advanced user I'd recommend using my templates as a guide as it will build fully working roms as stable as the ones I release .

This thread is not to be turned into a how to for visual kitchen as there are plenty of guides available if you search.

FYI: The newer non COM5 builds ie. 231xx 233xx 26xxx and 24xxx builds will require patches that I don't include nor support for dialer/caller id etc.
Try to stick with com2/5 unless you want to search/read xda for fixes. Also, don't use PPC Kitchen sys as it will have attrib all messed up and lead to a no-booting rom or a messed up one if built with this style of kitchen.

Flashed my own custom Dr rom this morning using The Dr's kitchen. No more HTC MC. The Dr already said he didn't want this thread to turn into a tutorial. So I won't post any more kitchen stuff here. Just thought I would say thanks, and, if there are any guys like me - clueless - then I figured we could use my thread here...

I've had some issues with the camera lately, mostly speed to focus/shoot, and messing with settings wasn't doing much. What I ended up doing was locating a CAB of an older camera module (6.15) and it's blazingly quick to take pictures again, provided the CaptParams are re-tweaked.

From what I read, camera 6.28 only does the auto-focus when it takes a picture, and the older ones auto-focus constantly while the app is running. Not sure how accurate that is, but it fits.

With camera 6.28, however, I've had little to no issues with the auto color balance, which has been great. Older camera module was a little annoying in this respect.

What are the feelings about asking Drellisdee for an older camera module next time? The new one seems to be better quality software and probably saves battery life, but the old one seems to take pretty much the same photos and can do it very quickly.
