My understanding is TF3D has transitioned to Sense with versions 2.5 and possibly 2.1, not sure which that one is technically labeled. The verison on this shipped rom is 2.0, however it shows the name Sense instead. I think the exact build is in the first post.

More importantly all the new interface features are in 2.1 partially and 2.5 completely. So if you load 2.5 on top of this phone you'll have something pretty close to what you will likely run once this phone is cracked.

What version does it say on the Settings Tab under About?

The new Rom has 2.0 but it just says Sense in the today options screen Rather than TF3D like it used to. The full version number was on one of the posts when this thread was started.

I have flashed to this new rom and so far it is running great. I have refrained from actually installing all the mods that I had previously and rather just put some of my necessary programs back on. It has been runnin quite nice and has given no problems yet. I have a hard time gauging the battery consumption because every day I use it differently so I cant really compare.. It seems to be just as good (or bad) as it was before since I have not found myself being irritated by it running low too soon. I have only had it for about 4 days this way.

If we are attempting to determine its battery usage we should each post the "standby time", "talk time" & "Device usage" hours/mins listed under the Information tab in the power settings. Once we have enough posts we can take the average of all devices and get a more accurate figure in battery usage.

Example (my current power consumption status):
Standby Time: 02H:20M
Talk Time: 00H:00M
Device Usage: 00H:07M
Battery Percentage: 100%

I believe we are going to want the usage details for a battery that has already been used down to a lower charge. Ex: 10-30% charge left.

Now we would have to do this after a complete charge. It's not perfect or an exact measure for the battery consumption but its a start.

So would it be better if i put sence 2.5 on my phone? Have u put it on yours after you flashed to this rom? I just hate having to hard reset again if its not going to be a noticeable difference.

You can put Sense 2.5 on your existing setup however it is recommended to hard reset to avoid any conflicts.

So if you are going to hard reset anyway, you might aw well load the newer rom from this thread first.

I saw that SPB Backup has caused problems restoring after the flash to the new ROM.

Has anyone tried Sprite Backup?

I'd like to know if anyone has any success restoring an OLD ROM O/S backup to the new ROM.

When upgrading from an older ROM, you should only restore PIM data (Contacts, email, ect). A full back up has registry entries and other things that will mess with the upgrade.

I know I've not posted yet in the forums (but I've been watching diligently for quite some time), but I have been trying this rom for a few days, and since every day I get a blank screen every once and a while. I have to do a soft reset to get my screen back. Its weird, because the backlight comes on the screen and the buttons, but just blank...hmmm
