Re: New ROM VZW 3.04 Shipped

Ok so I'm new to this whole "flashing thing", and I got REALLY confused at first. So I think I figured it out but was more confused later in the process. Let me explain.

So first I looked for an .nbh file in the RUU.zip. Was confused for about 5 minutes. Then I figured out I was looking in the wrong file. So I ended up copying the .nbh file from the original rom update utility in the link from Con's post, put it in the RUU file downloaded from the first post then started the RUU.exe from the RUU folder.

Two Questions:
1 Did that make any freaking sense?
2 Did I do it right?

Thanks in advance guys

I wonder what else the ROM on PDC PHONE contains that conflippers dosn't have. Guess I will have to flash it to find out.
I believe the PCD and Conflippers is the same, or at least based on the filename versions. Conflipper just did a better job of compressing it in his installation file setup. Or the additional how to word document and all of it's pictures accounts for the extra size.

Re: New ROM VZW 3.04 Shipped

UPDATE from my post three days ago re: battery life. I'm happy to say my battery life has improved greatly. Strange how that works and same as many have already reported that over the span of just a few days or less it is probably improved to at least equal or perhaps even better than the original ROM. I was a bit skeptical at first, but now I'm quite pleased with the results. Very happy I decided to upgrade.

All you really need to do with the ROM attached to this thread or the one at PCD is just download the ROM executable to your desktop, connect via activesync, and then double click on the RUU executable. The wizzard takes you the rest of the way. No need to move the executable to your phone or do any file swapping.

I'm having this problem also.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem.

These are regular POP e-mail accounts, not Exchange or Imap. I don't
have access to those OPTIONS.

I tried deleting the account and recreating it from scratch - no JOY.

NO - I created everything from scratch so that no registry entries would get screwed up.

Re: New ROM VZW 3.04 Shipped

the reason y I asked because I had seen this before when I use PPCPimbackup to restore my email settings and for some reason it just doesn't work right.
