Re: New ROM VZW 3.04 Shipped

Not so well here, down to 80% after only about 6 hours from full charge, with minimal use.

Reapplied the TV cab just to be sure.

Is there a native way to see ALL running processes? The default task manager is pathetic. Is there a better one, link please?

Re: New ROM VZW 3.04 Shipped

I haven't seen an answer to this. I just installed the rom and the my location is not working. Two questions:

Is this a known issue or do some people have it working?
Is there a way to have to home tab show a city not my location?

Re: New ROM VZW 3.04 Shipped

My home location has always appeared as the number "7" .... when I commute to my office, near downtown Baltimore, the city name correctly appears, but when I drive back home, my location goes back to showing "7". I've never been able to get that working

Re: New ROM VZW 3.04 Shipped

SeanGonzo,

I had the same problem. For some reason it got stuck one day trying to determine the location. At that time Bing or Google was unable to get a lock on GPS even though I had clear line of site and quickgps updates. Even after reboots it didn't work, it was like as if the GPS got stuck in a spin-cycle.... The only resolution I had was to power off, remove the battery for about a minute and startup. After that, it instantly worked.

Re: New ROM VZW 3.04 Shipped

All I can offer to this thread, is that after I upgraded to the 3.04 Rom.. my Battery life was very good too... but... because I travel alot into different areas, I too have noticed that the better cell signal your phone has the less of a drain it will have, the weaker the cell signal the more it takes out of your battery.. but I also did the battery reg tweak and have been able to get over 12 hours of use and my battery used only 18% of it's full charge leaving me 72% for whatever else needs to be done. for those interested in the Battery tweak here's the info...

(HKEY_Local_Machine\Drivers\BuiltIn\Battery change "PollInterval" from default 5000 to 20000)

.. I don't take credit for this.. someone else does on this forum, but i don't remember whom it is..

Thanks for this - changing to 20000 seems to have boosted my battery life.

Is this simply chaning the time the device polls the remaining charge for display purposes? If so, I would think for me even going to 30000 (miliseconds I presume?) would be OK.

Other than the [slight] lag in updating the juice display, is anything else affected by this change?

Re: New ROM VZW 3.04 Shipped

This may be a "Duh" moment, but just an FYI to folks:

Although HD Tweak worked just fine with the previous ROM, HD Tweak caused me to be unable to answer incoming calls. When attempting to answer, sliding the slider to accept caused it to remain on the incoming call screen, unable to hear the other party on either end, and the only way to get it to go away is to end the call. I used the same settings in HD Tweak that I had used previously w.o issue. In order to fix this, I attempted to simply uninstall HD Tweak to no avail. I ultimately did a hard-reset, re-loaded the rom, and now everything works fine.

Now, this may or may not be related to specific settings I used, or a compatibility issue with the program in general. In any case, IMHO, I would avoid HD Tweak unless you're willing to do a hard reset. In my particular case, this is unfortunate because I liked being able to adjust TF3D's sensitivity.

PS: I know HD Tweak is incompatible with Sense 2.1/2.5. I use good ol fashioned 2.0 until the release of some ROMS with 2.1/2.5 cooked-in.
