Re: Official HTC Touch (Alltel) WM6.1 ROM

That combines both SMS and MMS to a single folder. I have not had time to test it today, I had it working when I try it like 2 weeks ago.

PPST.exe i am not sure, I just copy the cab files out of one of the folders in the rom. i can try it later tho, for now i have to leave for work.

Re: Official HTC Touch (Alltel) WM6.1 ROM

I just flashed the new rom, AlltelNav gets a lock in seconds, agps style, but google maps cannot get a lock on its own at all. I just did the agps hack with QPST, and flashed my custom rom back to the phone, still no luck with gps at all, cannot get a lock. VisualGPS doesnt even show any sats in view.

Anyone else having trouble with TCPMP with this ROM? When I try to run it, I get an "Unexpected program failure" pop-up.

Re: ALLTEL WM 6.1 finally HERE!! {Merged}

Is there an easy way to copy someone's name and phone number into a text message? The only way I know how to do this is to go and edit a contact and copy the phone number then past it into a text message. Every time I try to do this while I am on the phone, the phone calls the number I am trying to get to send to the person who I am on the phone with... I end up having to hang up on the person I was just talking to in order to cancel the call.
I was hoping 6.1 would make this easier and all I see are vCard to be sent as picture and video messages.... Not what I want. Being able to do this is the ONLY thing I miss about my BlackBerry...
Can someone help me?

Re: ALLTEL WM 6.1 finally HERE!! {Merged}

Yes I was definitely on the bell .50, I live in the middle of nowhere and the closest tower is 7.5 miles away so reception in town sucks and if there is much between you and the tower (brick, tin, etc.) then you got nothing.

At some point I plan on going to some specific places and recording dBm values, then that same day (cause it seems to change daily dependent on weather when your signal is this iffy) go back to the bell radio and go record the same values.

But for the time being, this radio is better than .5 even though its technically a downgrade. Like I said I got 2 phone calls yesterday where I have never been able to get them before no matter what the weather was.

Thanks,
Ben

Re: Official HTC Touch (Alltel) WM6.1 ROM

For anyone having troubles with TCPMP I attach a file that should work for you, the thing is that 6.1 changes the code or something, and the old version of TCPMP will not work. So some great people over at XDA made this new one. So here it is, and here is the link over at XDA.

Re: Official HTC Touch (Alltel) WM6.1 ROM

What exact steps is everyone taking to enable GPS with the stock rom, or should it work as is? I've enabled Location settings so it is on all the time, but I can't seem to get a lock in google maps. I just wanted to see what others are doing to get GPS working starting from the point of flashing the new stock rom.
