ALLTEL WM 6.1 finally HERE!! {Merged}

I was anticipating this but based on the replies I think I will just wait and see what good comes out of it. What are the benefits of upgrading to this? I mean I already have GPS working so aside from that... what benefit is there to flash?

So if I update to the Alltel WM 6.1 ROM will my Alltel Touch already have the internal GPS locating satellites or do I have to do another step.
And what do you mean by AGPS?
And, is the Alltel TeleNav program working w/o the service fee??? Or what do you mean by that item being included?

By the way, the 1st post's link is not available anymore...is it pulled due to some inherent bugs that make the WM 6.1 update more of a problem than it's worth to try right now?
If it's working for you w/o issues PLEASE let me know as I really want the GPS features while travelling.

i did that immediatly after flashing. it only seems to happen when connected to active sync yet all my settings allow sharing like before. after I disconnect it takes a few minutes then internet works. seems like a bug, i've tried a few ROM's and cooked my own and never had this issue. now.. the tcpmp will not work on anything except the last alltel update. I have .72 and .81 tried both no luck ( yes I soft reset ). Any idea why? I like being able to download vids.

I'm running the rom right now, it's very nice.....first official rom to have 4 sided cube, but it has a lower radio than Bell....

It's a known problem with Skype and Windows Mobile 6.1. If you don't like it go back to 6.0.

As far as enabling GPS just turn on the Location Setting (it is turned off by default) and you are good to go. If you want fast locks, puth the phone in debug mode per Shadow's instructions and QPST it and set the registry up and you will be flying high.
