vogue upgrades

for everyone who didnt believe me i checked it my friend has a sprint cdma touch and flashed it to cricket i checked his phone no special attachments or anything he now has wifi so there is wifi on the phone just wondering if anyone can figure out how to unblock it without flashing the phone cuz you guys told me there was no gps on the touch without an attachment but now i have gps ever since i updated to 6.1 on htc so if you think you can do it let me know i gurantee there is wifi on the cdma touch

the rom will allow the wireless settings tab but are you able to successfully connect to a wifi network? if so then sweet

if not then i suggest flashing back

On that cricket phone, was it a software program or was the wifi actually working?

The vogue does have the onboard wifi chips-n-stuff, just no antenna. So he must have been right on top of the wireless router.

well we went to his house he was actually able to connect and it was some one in his apartment complex who has internet so he wasnt ontop of the router but im gonna go to his house and see what other info i can get

i can't understand that if we can get gps just from an upgrade why can't we get wifi?

i'm speaking out of ignorance on the subject though

you need an antennae in order to use the wifi from a router im not quite sure how you could do it otherwise.

Well Dont believe that it worked with sprint as sprint particularly had the item removed from the build @ HTC so its not there to connect to and if you do a tear down youll see that its not in the build .looked at the hardweare when i boosted my reception all thou was'nt looking for it in particular ,but i am sure that the device is not there 100%, but alltel's build/verizon may have it ?
