I just noticed the link down so I don't know if you were or not. If you weren't I found I still had a copy of it.
If you're able to add chinese support to the kitchen, that would be great. I'm hoping that it would also fix sending text/messages from our phones without it being changed to ??? signs.

If any of you have non-English ROMs, if you'll post the SYS for your ROM somewhere, we can extract the lang files. Do not post SYS from a modified ROM - stick to originals.

thank you Arlen for your kindness.. i have cooked myself a rom based on alltel and everything works fine... the thing which bugs me is what's responsible for sending sms in unicode.. what did the sprint or bell do to block that!?

and yes the arabic support cab has wince.nls and ttfs but not ac3s.. here is a copy if you want to take a look at it.. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/attachment...6&d=1221589262

Thanks for the cab, I found there is a reg for unicode in it. Please look at below:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Setting s]
"SMSUnicode"=dword:00000001

Maybe, you could delete this line to disable unicode.

I will upload an Chinese font OEM folder tonight (China Time, ) for you, please copy the font file into the windows folder and load the RGU through REGedit tools.

Hi Arlen, Thanks for your help. I am at work right now so when I get home I can send you the cab that I installed so you can take a look at it. I can't quite remember where I found it...maybe I'll search for it. I converted it to an OEM and built it into my rom from the ppckitchen. All I know is that it does have chinese font in the windows folder but ac3 format instead of the ttf and has those reg keys you posted earlier on.

It seems from 19208 original ROM and added Chinese support.

I'm not really looking to flash a rom that supports it already, but am more interested in building it in to my rom made with the kitchen, or at least editing it after if not possible to build with the kitchen. I'll take a look at the post, at work so cant at the moment.

I have the original rom that Arlen uploaded last time. If he doesn't reupload it, I can...I haven't figured out how to do that on this site yet but can't be that hard.

Arlen, let me know if you're going to repost this, if not, I could since I've already downloaded it before.

Plus, I think on that thread there are sys core and stuff that Arlen has already extracted. I don't know much about that stuff so I'll leave that stuff to you experts.

I'd also like to know if this will help with the sms/email problems or just allow view chinese, since I can already do that. Though I'd still try it out. Does this have IMEs as well or just fonts? Now, I probably understand your problem, I met your problem at the beginning of last year. In this ROM, you could read, write Chinese, but in several programs, the Chinese is "%?&?&^$%*&$", right? It is caused by the Wince.nls. I think you just installed the font.

Well, please PM me your e-mail address, I will send several OEMs includ IMEs & CAB to you, you could add them into the Kitchen and build the ROM support Chinese.

I also have wince.nls, the cab I linked in the pm I sent you. Let me know if you're able to get it, otherwise when you email me I can send it to you so you can see what I mean. I think that cab installs the wince.nls since I have it already.
