Help！ Need English Rom support Chinese

there was a chinese rom that was posted here a while back, I posed the question whether it'd be possible to port out the keyboard and fonts and whatever else is needed for chinese support. It was the dopod rom I believe...

I've used ce-star as well as another cab someone put together that allows chinese support but found that you cant send chinese text messages to others nor receive chinese text messages from others.

It is possible to support chinese, but I don't have a chinese rom to liberate the files from. If someone wants to provide a link to a chinese (or any other language) rom, I'll add chinese support to the kitchen.

I just noticed the link down so I don't know if you were or not. If you weren't I found I still had a copy of it.
If you're able to add chinese support to the kitchen, that would be great. I'm hoping that it would also fix sending text/messages from our phones without it being changed to ??? signs.

Nope, wasn't able to get it.

I see that Arlen is the OP....Maybe he can repost

If any of you have non-English ROMs, if you'll post the SYS for your ROM somewhere, we can extract the lang files. Do not post SYS from a modified ROM - stick to originals.

Hi gguruusa,

I have the original rom that Arlen uploaded last time. If he doesn't reupload it, I can...I haven't figured out how to do that on this site yet but can't be that hard.

Arlen, let me know if you're going to repost this, if not, I could since I've already downloaded it before.

Plus, I think on that thread there are sys core and stuff that Arlen has already extracted. I don't know much about that stuff so I'll leave that stuff to you experts.

it'd be nice to have chinese support built in...maybe that would fix the problem of sending and receiving chinese text as installing ce-star and others allow you to view chinese but not send or receive in chinese.
