Re: Anyone using iGO 8
I read somewhere that you need to put those files in place, and then reinstall the iGo software. That seemed to do it for me.

"onto" = "ontoo" I agree it sounds like "on tah" but with the above correction, it sounds better to me. Quote:
mispook08, my install configuration looks like this for Susan (I don't have Dave installed) TTS files: in Storage Card\iGO8\TTS_LOQ folder I have: EnglishTE folder EnglishUs folder EnglishTE6.9.Ide EnglishUS56.9.Ide Susan.vde Also, make sure you have the file Voice_Eng-usf1.zip file in iGO8\Content\Voice folder plus other files for non-TTS voices. Hope that helps. |

Re: Anyone using iGO 8
This might be a dumb question (I just got it today) but is there any way to test the voices to see how they would pronounce certain words/street names before going on the road?

Re: Anyone using iGO 8
PeterDLai,
Just plan a route and in the Route menu, on the bottom right there is an icon for slow simulation of that route. Click it and it will follow the plan route with voice guidance. |

Re: Anyone using iGO 8
Wow, massive thanks to you! I can't believe I never once thought about checking the program folders on the phones main storage as well. I guess I just assumed there was only one sys file and it was the one located on the storage card, but I guess iGo creates two copies of it. The clock is working perfectly now!
