Setting it to the Eastern Time Zone in iGo, quitting the program, and then starting it back up reverts the time to Dublin England.

If that fix is working for others maybe there is just something wrong with my copy of iGo?
Not sure if this will help but it did for me. I kept putting my corrected sys.txt file in just the igo folder on the storage card but in order for it to work properly, you must also add it to program files/igo8 as well.

Hope this helps!
