I'm now awaiting a call back from a "mobile data specialist" this afternoon; who I'm sure wont be able to help me.

I'm loving DCD's Win Mob 6.1 Kitchen ROM, but no data kinda defeats the purpose of the device.

Anyway I’ll let you know the results.
Hi I am in the same boat got the phone up and going but no EVDO only 1X I have dropped it into Leading edge and asked if they can get the evdo fixed, I haven't told them of my upgrades so I'll wait and see what happens, wether they will re flash it with wm 5.0 or just update my passwords?

Why don't you try what i posted earlier - think it would be worth it to get evdo back

Re: Telecom NZ - Upgrade Issues (and fixs)

Anybody here with working GPS care to share which rom and any additions they needed to get it working?

I'm currently using dharvey's latest sprint rom and haven't been able to get a fix even with gps viewer started first.
Occasionally I end up at the top of the south island, and once off the coast of africa heh (using google maps)(auckland)

Anyone in the gen-i tower with this working by any chance?

Yup go the Gen-i

I flashed with the offical Sprint rom (skipping customizations) and then just flashed a custom rom from the Kitchen. But even with the Sprint rom GPS worked, it DOESN'T work very well at all around Gen-i for some reason (tall buildings?). I found if I'm driving around and put it on the dash it will pickup pretty quick.

I second that. I live and work in Wellington CBD. When walking around or in buildings I very rarely get a lock. But if I jump in the car and start driving around I get a lock in 1 or 2mins. It works fantastic with TomTom for navigating by car. But is a bit of a loss for anything other than that.

Re: Telecom NZ - Upgrade Issues (and fixs)

Hey MattOktaNZ,

I called telecom today to say ive lost evdo and to slip my number to a different esn for a bit and then back to the titan to see if i could get it back. He said he'll leave it on the other esn for a few minutes because the change would only take 5 minutes.. during that time we talked about some other things eg plan change etc . after that he said he would reactivate the titan..when i asked him if he needed the esn to reactivate the titan he said no.. during this time i had the titan off and when i turned it on. he said he saw the evdo come on at his end.. was end of my lunch break so couldnt test it while i was on the phone..

after the call, did a soft reset..tried to connect.. still no go ;(

im wondering if the esn actually came off the titan in the first place.. he put me on hold after trying to put the esn on an old sanyo and said the system was going slow or something.

just got home and did a hard reset .. same thing

so...guess ill have to drop the thing in and pay $55 for them to re add the HDR password otherwise im gonna have to relock and load a stock radio and os titan rom..

seen that there's dumped OS's on here but another post says it's just the OS, would still need the original radio..

appreciate the help everyone

This is using a MD5 generated from my ESN with letters capitalized and non-caps also.

you can gen a MD5 with no data also, as we have no a-key, I wonder if you use the details from a MD5 generated from no data for the a-key part.
Would someone like to check their hdr password on their touch/titan and see how it compares with the result from entering their esn into the generator? i tried entering my esn into it and taking the first 16 digits.. no go.
