Re: GPS OEM...first attemp

Hey everyone -

So I got the nbhtool that jakdillard recommended and decompiled the Special_4035.nbh from the Sprint update recently and found that it has an SPL.nb and Radio.nb. I think the SPL is what we need to alter for Vogue right? The real question for the guru is how hard is it to change the SPL from Titan to Vouge?

Is it just simply change the device ID?

Feedbacks are welcomed.

No, that's not the point.

I think we're using different sources for the radios as the ones from the now shipped 3.35 rom, as well as the ones from the leaked 3.16 (same as shadowmites) DO NOT work on the Touch.

Yes and no.

The radio works in conjunction with the SPL which is very device specific. Since there are distinct differences in the hardware between the titan and the vogue (WiFi, keyboard, buttons, etc), unless someone does a lot of low-level machine coding, we will be waiting for a leaked version of the SPL and Radio specific to our devices.

Re: GPS OEM...first attemp

I was able to flash the titan 3.35.04 rom onto the Vogue, but GPS does not work, neither does rev A. It display's no radio, and the esn is missing similar to when Jd's posted the 3.27 radio for the titan.

Re: GPS OEM...first attemp

My first attempt to flash the titan radio onto the vogue was by changing the device id, which was unsuccessful, but it displayed the radio version, and other info red during boot, but would just hang. After removing the spl from the radio rom, I was able to boot with the new radio successfully, although now it displays no radio, in red or blank info at the bottom of the screen. The option to enable rev-a is also missing, which is being discussed in the titan forum
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=20905.

So I began looking into spl.nb file with a hex editor it seems spl.nb, might be the key to getting gps and rev a, on the vogue. If someone is more comfortable with a Hex editor have a look at it.
