some of the arguement here is that picturemail was never advertised as a feature of the ppc phone, therefore, they have the right to block it if they see fit....

which i do not agree, picturemail is a standard feature on all none ppc phones, it should've been stardard on ppc as well....

well maybe you should've bought a non-ppc phone then......Sprint never ever ever said MMS was a supported or included feature on our phones, we all knew that when we made the decision to buy....so now some want to bash & sue Sprint for countering a "hack"......gimme a break.

I think the only fix now is for someone to develop an app. that integrates with our WM phones' SMS / text messaging programs that can automatically add the proper email address when we choose someone from our contacts to send a MMS to.

Of course, this would mean we'd have to tag each contact with the correct provider they're on so that the app. could convert their number to the right email address.

give a baby nothing and it just sits there comfortably. give a baby candy then take it away and it cries.

same goes for ppc users.

Yes except most of us have Picture Mail as part of our service that we pay for.

So "stealing candy from a baby" is a better anallogy here.

Sorry your argument holds no water, the Touch is not a business phone, if we were talking about the Mogul here, I'd be more understanding. But the Touch is marketed as a consumer media phone, and even has Sprint TV. Sprint was just too lazy to implement MMS for Pocket PC's.

But I guess you would be fine with Sprint actively blocking GPS or EVDO rev A on the Touch since it's not an advertised feature either.

If it's any consolation, Sprint abandoned two kiosks at the local mall. And I mean abandoned as in all the equipment is still there and the sign is still up but no one has been behind the counters of either in weeks. That leaves one store in this area of 600,000 people. Maybe Sprint is finally reaping what it's been sowing for the past few years. Good riddance, too. Scumbags.
