But I guess you would be fine with Sprint actively blocking GPS or EVDO rev A on the Touch since it's not an advertised feature either.

really? I doesn't matter what the touch is for , business or consumer....the bottom line is Sprint decided not to include the MMS feature. Lazy? It's their perogative to include the features they want.....it's YOUR perogative to buy the phone of your choice.

you have 3 choices: get over it, find a solution, or buy a different phone that has MMS.

More like:
Baby wants candy, baby steals candy from store, store owner takes candy back but doesn't press charges.
Get your story right.

This is a little blunt, but after all the whining going on here, I'm glad someone else said it.

Well the local Sprint store was not to happy when I returned my 3 Touch, and 2 Moguls since I was within my 30 day trail. I understand that MMS feature was not included in any PPC but sending pictures to my clients via email is not an option for my small company. I have nearly 700 phone contacts and do not know the email address/phone carrier for each of them. I tried to give Sprint a chance since they were dirt cheap but like the old saying goes "you get what you pay for". I informed the employee that I would be taking my five lines to another carrier where MMS is not crippled for PPC owners at which time he replied that I was doing something wrong because MMS works with all Sprint PPC's via simple texting. I just chuckled to myself and left. Sprint you have good coverage and great data/phone plans but locking simple features out is costing you. I wish sprint luck and hopefully you guys get you MMS back.

I completely agree with everyone about them locking us of MMS, and hopefully they will change their mind about that.

If you think Sprint is bad at locking out features, try Verizon. Every phone they have is crippled somehow, its what they're known for.

If you want to go GSM, you can get an unlocked phone with all the cool features, but good luck getting EVDO-like speeds unless you're lucky enough to live in a 3G area (which I'm not).

I'm still happy with my Touch. I wish they would hurry up with the GPS/Rev A update, and possible the video drivers that are talked about in another thread, but I'm still happy. It was nice to use the MMS hack, but honestly, I didn't use it very often.

you have every right to leave and go to a carrier who meets your individual needs better, what you can't do is blame sprint for taking away a feature. they never have it to you, you found a backdoor and are complaining sprint closed it when its their house and they never said you could use it

Probably little to no consolation and don't bite my head off - but you might want to check out the Palm offerings @ Sprint (I know, blasphemy on this board) - but they do picture mail and threaded texts OOTB

Is there honestly a ton of people out there who use this crappy camera and send pictures so much that they just can't live without MMS? I mean really what do you do with the camera that is so important?

I agree with USC....I've used MMS twice since going to Sprint in April. Hardly enough to really care if they enable it or not.

thadeus_d3 if thats how you feel, please explain to me why you are commenting in this thread. As you can see this is for people who USED the MMS on a regular basis, and since you are not one of US, then you should be reading and commenting in some other thread IMHO.
