Better wait til the software is officially launched, expected end of december last i heard....and head's up, if you're returning it for another device, be aware you'll only get another 6900 that's a refurb, whole company is cracking down on equipment discounting...too many ppl trying to bend rules since the Storm was announced to get one free.

On side note, cracked body could classify as physical damage depending on the mood of the warehouse guy...and if he says physical damage, you get charged the RETAIL price of equipment! My advice: if it's just the body, do what I did, buy a case for a sprint 6900 off ebay, and have a cooler looking 6900!

I just bought a verizon branded Gel Skin cover for $5.00 at the local store. They are on clearance. Looks awseome but only colors are black and pink. I went with the black but was hoping for a blue like my titan....

Both my wife and I have had numerous problems with our XV6900's. The number of dropped and missed calls is unbelievable. It is a shame that verizscum is so far behind everyone else with an update. I believe this phone could be far better than it is currently. Were it not for the talented and brave hackers and programmers out there, these phones would S U C K a whole lot more.

Alright I have to ask this because Im a hardcore newb, like everything Ive done with my phone Ive struggled and barely understood because Im kind of late into the whole PPC era. Anyways to flash this onto my xv6900 I just download it? and Does it clear all my contacts and other info? And how much of a chance do I have for it to brick my phone?

You need to backup your contacts and files on the phone before you do this just in case. you can easily draw your stuff from the phones hard drive to the sd card. i like pim backup. the flash will not affect your sd card.

it will not effect the sd card, if you take it out before flashing. and yes, flashing the rom wipes out everything. pim backup will back all of that up for you, and i would save the back up to either the sd card, or somewhere on your computer that you remember.
