Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

Hey guys I just tried this but couldn't do the leaked flash cause rapitool kept crashing. Heres what I did. I extracted the leaked rom and copied the the ppst cab over and ran it. Then I ran ppst from the windows folder and bam.

I am testing gps but the signal is amazing now. This is absolutely makes a difference in reception. I will post my gps results soon.

Great work...

Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

I read in a different thread that removing the battery can clear up intermittent GPS issues.

IT WORKS!

My GPS worked perfectly yesterday, today nothing. Removed the battery for 10 seconds and now back with 8 satellites.

The question is of course how to keep this problem from happening in the first place.

Any ideas?

Above, my PRI is 2.03_003

Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

hey all, I am running the leaked sprint rom on my bell touch. Is it ok for me to run the ppst file? It seems that everybody in here has let the customizations run on this rom so I assume that means you guys are on sprint. Since I am not on sprint, is it ok to run ppst? (Does it have anything to do with sprint that may mess up my bell stuff?)

kind of a cooky question, but thanks for any replies,
cheers

I just did this.... now I am in that boat of people who need to align the screen after every soft reset. Bugger again.

I sent you a PM can you email me that PPST.exe. BTW from what I heard you don't want to run the PPST unless you're on sprint.

Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

Wow. Just wow. Cold start (first time since a flash, and hadn't used gps in 2 days) got a lock in under 30 secs after re-running ppst. Absolutely amazing.
And yes, my pri went from 1xxxx to 2xxxx (sorry, can't remember the actual numbers, but they were the same as what everyone else has been posting.) Thanks a ton OP!

Edit: In regards to astrogpslauncher, I installed the cab you posted (dewman) and when I run the shortcut it created, it just keeps trying to connect to the gps device, but never gets a signal. The only thing that MIGHT have messed it up is that when I installed it, the cab was sitting on my storage card, but it installed to the device (as did tomtom).
