Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

Not sure what mine was either. I know when I first flashed the leaked version it hung on PPST. I then did another Hard reset and it sat on PPST for a long time before it moved on with the other customizations. I wonder if it didn't really run right the first time or second time I let it run the customizations...

So far everything has worked all day... Let's hope it stays that way but it sure looks promising...

I've run the PPST.exe file and I'm picking up sats inside where I wasn't able to before. So far it's better than it was.

Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

I left all gps applications completely off since early this morning, and did not enable gps until I got home. So about 8 hours and 20 miles since last lock, and 40 seconds after I fired up TomTom inside my house, I had a lock.

That's every bit as good as I was getting with my BT GPS puck!!!

No lock-ups or other issues all day.

Keeping my fingers crossed for continued testing...

Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

Good results here. I have the leaked rom and let the customizations run. The GPS was pretty spotty and somtimes took many minutes to lock (if at all). I just ran the PPST.exe, and started GPS viewer. I got a lock on 6 satellites in under 30 seconds (inside a building). I've never been able to get more than 3 locked from this location and it always took several minutes. Thanks for the tip! Hopefully, it'll continue to work well.

Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

I ran ppst yesterday and immediately noticed an improvement. However, today I can't get any satellite fixes (clear sky and no changes)

Anyone else having these issues?

Same here. I'm running Garmin and when I first fired up the GPS I got good results after the ppst.exe. Now, after a soft reset, it won't recognize Com4 anymore. -I just hard reset. bugger. I'm going to reset before customizations and give it a whirl.

EDIT_____________
Rebooted without customizations and PPST.exe isn't in the windows folder now. Where is it? I'm giving up and becoming Amish.

Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

Hell, I'm going on my fourth or fifth day of flawless GPS.

1. I flashed Sprint's leaked ROM and let all customizations run.
2. I then flashed OMJ's New Sprint ROM.

Tested in both Bay Area and Las Vegas, locking within 30 seconds.

No priming and/or quick starting or additional DLL installations!

I'm in fear of flashing anything else in fear of losing what I consider a flawless working setup!

Wishing all the same.

Did you flash OMJ's custom ROM or the OMJ's OEM Rom?

Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

Can someone upload ppst.exe I am currently running the ppckitchen, and I can not find the file. I did first install the Sprint leaked rom, and I let the customizations run, but my PRI is stil version 1.33_003.
