Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

The best way to flash your phone is to go find a bunny rabbit, stick your phone in his ear, and stick both of them in the microwave. Cook 5 minutes or until desired tenderness.

I now can run TomTom and get a lock before I pull out of the driveway. "Ultimate" may not be the word for it, but definitely much better than before, and now very usefull.

Besides, as my title says: "try this." Who knows, maybe at least one person can benefit by running the ppst.exe which would make this thread worthwhile.

Thanks for you constructive input, though...
I may be partly wrong, let me rethink exactly what I did

originally I let the customizations run the FIRST TIME. Ive since hard reset a few times. If I were to guess whatever it did probably stick ever after I hard reset which is why I did not let it run again but yet have a GPS that is working very well.

So maybe it does something maybe it does not. I would say atleast let it run once then you can hard reset again and not run the customizations

Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

I read in another thread that someone lost their radio by re-running ppst.exe. Anybody had this happen to them, or, does anyone know why we should be re-running it when it runs during customization?

I read the same thing, I think it was old man Jenkins. I ran it also and things are working very well for now. I hope it lasts.... Before mine worked sporadically and I tried just about everything.

Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

I also ran the customizations the first time I flashed, but somewhere along the way, playing with roms, I lost my GPS. I was able to get it back by running just ppst.

As for OMJ, he did say he lost his radio by running ppst, but he also did not do a complete install of the rom from the exe, but rather extracted the nbh, and made changes prior to the oops.

Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

I just re-ran PPST for the hell of it. I'm using the leaked ROM and I let customizations run the first time (and one of the items was PPST, which took a couple of minutes).

It might be coincidence, but now it looks like my reception is a *little* better. I also have SprintPCS in HTC Home now, whereas before it was just blank.

You have to re-run PPST.EXE after it reboots. Check to make sure you have PRI 2.03_003.

I do now, not sure what I had before I ran PPST since I didn't check.
