same here, i have not been able to get a lock all day, granted it is bad weather here. i think i will run the PSST again and see what happens.

also, i had the 3.35 radio, now the one from the leaked ROM. which radio is better?

Edit:

I just had a thought about non Sprint users using this PPST. If they ran PPST then after updating to the newer PRI went and put a Verizon PRL back on wouldn't that make it work with Verizon while having the GPS problem fixed?

People that have done so, ended up with the Verizon PRL and authenticating Verizon confirmed by techs, BUT roaming... There is a thread about this on here somewhere I read about this. I think it also broke other data/online things not sure..

So I would still say, non-Sprint, don't use this Tip. Unless you don't really need your phone to work.

3.35 is the Titan radio, no ment for the Touch.

The leaked ROM includes 3.37.15 Sprint Radio ment for the Touch. The Update mentioned in this thread is for use in conjunction with the 3.37.15 radio, all included in the leaked ROM. (Warning for Sprint users only)

You'll notice all the threads on the Alltel ROM when it was released, it gave a 3.37.10 radio, Sprint users were advised to reset at Alltel customizations because it would render non-Alltel users' phones useless. It also included an Alltell PRI, PRL update, incompatible with non-Alltel users.

The same applies here, except we are talking about Sprint..

Hope that clears some things up,

-CC

EDIT: If Sprint users didn't reset and allowed the customizations to run, we have the previous Sprint customizations in a cab to rerun over to revert to Sprint settings. This may not be the case for non-Sprint users. YMMV

I'm staying far away from this as I need my phone as a phone and for data heh and I am on bell, but my GPS works if I "prime" it first with gpsviewer.

I'm on Bell too and GPS viewer locks within 30-180 seconds for me also.
I guess we should just forget about this and be happy that it even works for us. I just want faster/instant locks, haha.

Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

PPST_Altell.zip contains PPST_080401_7500_Alltel_2.01.sa.CAB which, when run, will install PPST.exe for Altell subscribers.

file pulled from: RUU_Vogue_4350_ALLTEL_WWE_3.04.671.2_Radio_4350H_3 .37.10_Alltel_NV2.00_PRL30008_0331_Ship_withSpecia lNBH.exe

PPST_Sprint.zip contains PPST_080407_7500_SPCS_2.03.sa.CAB which, when run, will install PPST.exe for Sprint subscribers.

file pulled from: RUU_Vogue_4350_PPST_SpeciallNBH_SPRINT_WWE_3.02.65 1.2_Radio_435011_3.37.15_AM_NV_SPCS_1.33_0823_Test .exe

Presumably, if you aren't with either Altell or Sprint, there isn't a PPST.exe that will help you out.

Best regards,
-boggsie
