Asurion replacing TP with TP2 - Page 31

So, I just got off the phone with asurion and they said my phone was still in warranty and transferred me. The person that picked up was closer to my area and said they would replace my TP with a TP no charge because it's under warranty. I've had my phone since March. Anyone had this expierence where you got transferred to what seems to be a completely different service.

Wow how did you do it? I called again and they said the Touch Pro 2 was out of stock but if they were to backorder me a Touch Pro 2, then they would send me the Touch Pro since it is also on backorder. Im telling you man, I have no luck lol. I just hanged up on him.

I had just hung up the phone when I last posted... With the screen deal, I never made to what I could get as a replacement. On my second call, at first she offered the Diamond... I played dumb and asked if that had a slideout keyboard... She said let me look and came back saying she confirmed and it does... I told her I am currently on Sprints website and it says there isn't a slideout key... I told her it needs to be WinMo, said it was a work requirement... I told her it needed to have a slideout keyboard, said I have big hands and needed the full keyboard for comfort since I use it for work and all (main reason I initially picked the TP). As she skimmed through the list, I pointed out that here on the Sprint website is the TP2 which meets my requirements and asked if that was available... She said yes here it is but it's out of stock... Then she put me on hold and came back and said I can get the TP2 if I didn't mind waiting for it to come in which would be 5-7 days till I received it...

I confirmed with her 3 more times (The Touch Pro 2, right?) before we finally hung up... And every time she repeated, "Yes, the Touch Pro 2".

Have your excuses ready when they try and offer you a piece of crap and play dumb... Don't use the lingo... Since we here are not the average phone user, I think they pick-up on that... It's pretty sad when we know more than them...

You should of just let him put in the backorder for the tp2. when i did it the lady told me that it will be automatically mailed out to me once its in stock again. i dont think they will send you a tp if they put in for tp2.

When I called back into Asurion to get an update on my claim....

An automated message came up and said my phone will arrive in 3 business days.

Well I dont believe it and I will wait the 5 days the rep told me. Tracking my order online didn't help me out either since it's still on step on and says to check back in 24 hours.

Patience is a virtue and I am glad I can be very patient.

so heres my story after seeing this post yesterday morning before i went to work, i started my claim online before i went to work around 7am, said that it would be replace with Treo 850, so i just didn't finished it and called later on and girl told me that i was going to get a nib touch pro so i was like mm ok and told me i had to fax the paper work with my id so i did like around 3pm, today at 9am i got a call saying i got approve for my replacement and lady told me they could offer me Treo 850 and i was like "you know what, i tried that phone before and the keys are too small for my fingers" she told to hold on, waited 2 min and she told me only replacement comparable to touch pro would be a touch pro 2, (never mention the snap or tour which i was going to get because damn windows phone always piss me off couse theres always something not working right, but then again i love how i could customize it and flash it).. anyways i was like umm yeah that sound fine, got it billed to my account said it should be here 3-5 days =D and since i email ecare like 4 days ago about how the refurb tp they send me was acting up again told me to email them back if i get a replacement and that they will credit me whatever they charge for it so got me a free tp2

I most curious about: do you guys with TEP were charged $100 for replacing?

I have TEP, and I replaced my Mogul with TP this May. So, my phone shall be within one year warranty. My TP screen has an apparent wrinkle....Do you think I can get replace with TP2, and maybe no charge?
