Asurion replacing TP with TP2 - Page 30

just got off the phone with asurion and they only offered me the palm pro, snap or another tp in 8 or more days. this sucks.

same thing both pro 1 and pro 2 out of stock..offered me curve pre or snap....or to back order pro 1....I declined. I already have a pro 2 for me ... i love mine. got with contract upgrade. my girl dropped her pro 1 in toilet. figured id try this. but **** why pay 100 for same phone. ill just give her my old pro 1......sucks

TP2 should be here within 5-7 days due to backorder... My current TP was 6 months old and fell under the MFG Warranty... so after some smooth talking I was able to get them to commit to a TP2 as a replacement...

Just an FYI... Do not mention the bleeding screen as asurion see this a physical damage and not a defect... The first person I talked to would not budge and wanted me to pay the deductible... I hung-up and called back stating it was a keyboard issue... BOOM!!! "Your TP2 should be there within 5-7 days!" YEYAY!!!

Word of advise: Be sweet as pie to you CSR... It may not work on all of them but eventually you find one who is willing to work with you... It only took me 2 phone calls and that's only because I didn't know about the frigin' bleeding screen deal... The guy tried to tell me that I must have put to much pressure on the screen... Are you F'n kidding me... Do you know how much I baby my phone... Here talk to my friend CLICK he'll tell you... CLICK!!! The nerve!!!

Best of luck to all on your TP2 hunt... Fingers crossed, I'll have mine next week...

When did you call them? I just got off the phone with them and they said they couldnt do anything because oos. did they tell you oos on your call about the screen?

i have been always verizon... i just received my new TP today...maybe if i just complain about it like letting them know that it gets hot when the other didn't use to to it and maybe if i lied about the performance of the phone , maybe like that they might send me the TP2

will asurion take any action if you like to them about the performance of the phone they just sent ... letting them know that keyboard is not working right and just general performance.....

I just called Asurion today and they offered me the Curve, Palm Pro, and Snap. I asked about the TP2 and they said they are no longer offering it.

What do you guys think Asurion will have first, Touch Pro or Touch Pro 2 back in stock? Im waiting till they 5 days that they say the Touch Pro 2 will be back in stock but maybe by that time they will have Touch Pro also and wont offer the Touch Pro 2 no more.

Hard to say...You may have missed the boat on this deal...If they have wised up and just outright started denying any TP2s, hard to say...Me being me, I'd go charging in and just wouldn't take no for an answer, and every time you get to a dead end, ask for the next level of management.

Had to call twice but when I stated the phones they were offering where not comparable with the Touch Pro I was connected to a supervisor who agreed to send a Touch Pro 2 - however I had to pay the deductible (which is fine by me). Larger screen, better keyboard -- same everything else is only worth $100 anyway.
They're currently out of stock by I should have it next week I'm told. So yay!
